The hike back requires some balance and flexibility to negotiate the tricky footing in places. Pretty Falls once you get there.

We stopped here along our road trip and were glad we did. Beautiful countryside. Worth the drive. Places to hike and just relax along the way.

We stopped here on our way to Lake Santeetlah and were glad we did. Our kids (ages 3, 5, and 7) loved the trail, slightly challenging but not too much, and the waterfall is beautiful.

We love to hike and this .3 mile hike was no exception. Some parts of the trail were a little difficult but well worth it. There is a beautiful small waterfall at the beginning of the trail, but completing the hike is well worth it.

We went early - before 9 am - on July 4th weekend and saw no one until we were almost back at the car. It was glorious. Dogs managed to wriggle out of their leashes - whoops - and went for a swim. We loved the quietness of it all, and even o a hot day it was cool and shaded (but humid of course) . It's a short easy walk - perfect for pre breakfast or a late afternoon activity - not a half day hike or anything.

This is a wonderful short hike off Hwy 129, the falls are about 1/3 of a mile from the road. You will pass a couple of spots on trail that look like the waterfall. There is a sign that says Falls, so make sure you go far enough. This is definitely worth the time and effort.

We have drove by here a few times in the past and never stopped. This Thanksgiving Day we stopped and hiked to the falls. While the sign says it is a .3 miles, it is not easy, but doable. It is so worth though.

Our family completed this hike after a long trip in the car. It was easy and fun, with beautiful falls all along the way and a great reward at the end. Highly recommend to anyone.

I enjoyed wading in the creek of cold water. The water is pristine and feels good to walk in. I highly recommend visiting.

I made this my last hike for a total of 19 miles that day. It was a half mile in and the same out. You won’t find the trailhead unless you look for it. Please stop don’t miss this for the world. The hike was fairly easy if it was longer I would call it moderate easy. I did have some trouble as the trail curves down and the rhododendrons grow over the trail and the thin trail and two deer trails are hard to tell apart. The rhododendrons are pretty but need a trim. Most of the rhododendrons were not out but all had purple buds that were about to open and some had opened and were flowering would hike again
