Absolutely loved camping on the point. Never been camping in a tent before, no showers but there are toilets. Beautiful part of Queensland and I can’t wait to return.

Stayed at Natone for a few days. Was absolutely awesome! Only facilities are drop toilets, and we were grateful to have a 4WD as the entry is a bit rugged. Super dog friendly and fantastic location; right on the beach and short trip into town!!

We had a brief look about. Many campers and spots to camp. Looked quite hot and tired. Not sure about toilets etc. I doubt we'd stay there.

Visited on Tuesday 20th October. We went for a drive out to here, what a great spot to camp and go for a swim. We went for a walk along the beach and watched the ferry moving vehicles over to Fraser Island.

We booked M.V. Natone for camping on Father's Day for two nights. We arrived around 11am on Friday and the site was already quite busy - nevertheless we found a great spot a few metres away from the beach with enough to keep the kids entertained. Great swimming spot and awesome views over to Fraser Island. There are hybrid toilets which are maintained regularly by the ranger. No showers. Everybody observed the 9pm 'noise curfew'. Very relaxing - will go again (and arrive earlier in the morning).

We camped from Monday to Friday so it was nice and quiet. It’s dog friendly so they came with us. We were basically 5 metres from the beach. It was quit protected from the wind. No insects at all. We will defiantly go back

If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing camping trip - this is not the place to go. Noisy and crowded,barking dogs and loud 4wd moving Inbetween the campsites all day and night. There is no privacy at all. Nightmare camping ground

I can see the potential of this spot and why it is popular, no shortage of camper trailers or vans parked up.
The weather was foul, raining and cold, but I’m sure when the weather warm the calm waters and miles of white sandy beaches would be excellent.

One point I forgot to mention, the area is surrounded by national park and plantation forest, around 100,000km2 and we are informed that each year preventative fires are light continuously from March through to late September, and as a consequence a smoke haze is present during this time, and of course sore eyes and blocked sinus as a consequence. We encountered the sore eyes and blocked sinus and now we have become aware of this smoke haze in the area, basically the Parks and Wildlife web site suggests to stay indoors to minimise the affects of smoke inhalation, my god. Anyway at least we are now aware.

I'm not really sure on that one ColinB, as there were hundreds of fast moving vehicles moving along the beach all day. We feared for our lives so opted to leave the area
