Beautiful gardens with walkways, lily-pond and wide-open spaces to run around. Great spot for a picnic or weekend visit for families.

I was sad when I visited a few months ago as the back part of the park was so badly maintained. When I went back last week I was delighted to see the change. when you visit try going further in and see how nice it is now. thanks ICC for making it so much more enjoyable for those of us who want to walk a bit farther and even go to the look out. Well done!

Since we were there last time in April a lot has changed. some of the areas that were closed off at the back part had (finally) been worked on and we could walk also to the higher area at the back where it looked much nicer. It was a much nicer experience and we are glad that we can give a higher rating. We came as a couple with adult sons (which option I cannot choose so I have used Family (teens).

Kholo Gardens used to be delightful and I loved to walk there. However, over the years it has become more and more run down. A small part is maintained the rest is rubbish. Such a shame! And it's the same for most Ipswich parks right now.

Attended a private family function hosted in the Kholo Gardens.... It was my first visit and overall i was impressed with the gardens... obviously after some rain the gardens will improve... the facilities are fairly few and far between and with elderly members in attendance and those with young children that was problematic... those who know the area had staked out the very best spots ... with additional facilities may improve all visitors experience

Visited with a large group to stop for morning tea. Absolutely beautiful outlook over the Kholo River. Gardens are Immaculate even in drought. Smart plant management. Bruce the Head Botanist is nicest most helpful guy! Big bass is caught in the river and what an amazing place for a wedding. Heritage buildings can be booked. Well worth a stop!

hot day you need shade and a cold drink of water. To get to the place is awkward and the Council signs are nowhere to be seen. It is badly needed and a place of refuge as ALL PARKS IN IPSWICH ARE REVOLTING. GRUBBY. DRIVE AROUND THE PLACE AND SEE MOST SEATS ARE IN THE SUN.... i hated the place. just left. another rip off of the City Council "Parks" mob. All should have gone with the Mayor and hopeless Council.

Kholo Gardens are a fantastic place to either chill and relax on a beautiful day or go for a long walk. With stunning views of Brisbane river and a wonderful small rainforest section it has a bit of everything for a great day out by yourself or with family n friends. We have even flew our kite here. Great place to come for a picnic also! Few benches and a wonderful green area for you to sit and relax. Have a look and see what you can find here. I’ve seen some bearded dragons in the park, along with some bush turkeys and a few weddings too. Have to say it would be a magical place for a wedding.

We just were here at the wrong time of year dammit. The park is nice but there was a distinct lack of snakes and lizards due to the cold temperature... Next time we will go in summer.
