We met relatives here on a visit from Bridgewater Nova Scotia. This is a wonderful restaurant right on the Atlantic Ocean with great views. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent both fish and chips and seafood platter. The price was fair. As this is a golf course you usually do not get this quality of restaurant at most courses more quick serve burgers usually. The wine was also high quality.

We made a reservation. Being a member of a golf club I even asked if they had a tournament on or if it was Mens night as I know our golf course can get busy. Answer: No problem we’ll see you at 6:30 pm. Arrived and despite several waitresses no on even acknowledge our table. Waited 20 minutes one waitress saw us then went and started cleaning cutlery. We walked out & went to the Fos’cle Pub. Waiter arrived in 2 minutes of seating was great and owner checked in when we started dinner to see if all was in order. From NO SERVICE to GREAT SERVICE”. My advice with respect to the Chester Golf Course Don’t go you’ll be waiting days for someone to even check in

Enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating my son’s birthday! I can’t say enough great things about this place! The service was top notch!! They went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after and I can tell you they never missed a beat!! The food is amazing I had the seafood crepe which was jam packed full of lobster, scallops, shrimp etc! Honourable mention to Cora Lee for taking care of our large group and made it seem like a breeze! The food was delicious, atmosphere and scenery is beautiful!! A must do if your looking for a place to eat while you’re in Chester, NS!!

Our hosts recommended this place for dinner. We are outside on the deck overlooking the water. Tables were spread out for Covid19 restrictions and waitress wore a mask. My husband ordered the special which was haddock bites with Caesar salad. Tasty but less than 10 small bites of fish which was disappointing considering the price. Luckily my seafood crepe was delicious and full of seafood or I wouldn’t have rated it a 4.

The last day in September offered a crystal blue sky with ocean to match adorned with sparkling diamonds in the bright sun. We were on a day "road trip" and decided to try a lunch at CGC. Despite the fact that we have driven by it for years, this was a first for us, but definitely the first of many. The Seafood chowder hit the top of my "best chowder ever" list (which has been in the making for years in NS). Chunks of lobster, jumbo shrimps and haddock with almost no room left for fillers like potatoes and broth. Fantastic!! A bowl is adequate for a lunch but we forced ourselves to have lobster sandwiches as well. Life is tough! It is a bit off the beaten path but the view is beautiful, the food is excellent and Vicki, our server made us feel very much at home.

Excellent food and service with reasonable prices and can't beat the view from the deck overlooking the water and all the islands.

We ate here on a beautiful summer afternoon and were able to get a table on the deck. We all had the lobster roll platter and it was delicious. Would recommend this restaurant.

This golf course is beautiful, amazing views! Facilities are great, they even have ice and water to fill up your bottle while you golf. The oatcakes sold by golf cart girls are delicious and keep your energy level up as you play.

We are not golfers, regardless we are very fond of their dinning room. Whether indoors our on the spacious deck the food is always great with great service, views are spectacular and the price is right.

Besides being an very good golf course - Chester has na outstanding restaurant. This is a hidden gem and worth the drive from Halifax or surrounding area to taste the cuisine. The chowder is first class and any of the other fish dishes are first class. Can't beat it!!!
