Location of burial of the author of Anne of Green gables. Her resting place is tastefully decorated and highlighted - displaying her importance but still respecting the others at the same cemetery.
Across from cemetery is montgomery park - which provides a lot of information and stories about Lucy montgomery and gives a good account of the history of the region.

Go to see Montgomery's grave, but the park across the street is an even better stop with a statue of Lucy Maud.

Take some time to visit this cemetery to see the final resting place for Lucy M Montgomery. Also interesting to see other old monuments providing some of the history of the area.

There’s so much history in cemeteries and this one is no different. I absolutely loved seeing such old headstones. It was so incredible to see some that were so old that they were worn to the point that the writing was faded and illegible. If you’re heading to the garden make a quick pit stop here!

We were actually staying a few yards away at Shining Waters cottages, and had no clue why all the Asian tourists were congregating at the corner.. it was only when walking about a weekday evening we happened to see the sign and realized this was the Resting Place of LM Montgomery. No crowds.. place to ourselves... cemetery grounds beautifully kept, flowers on the famous graves, and tombstones that you could read, some very old. There was even a watering can and tap for you to fill up and water the flowers if you wanted.

A paved walkway leads from the cemetery entrance, past the markers for Montgomery’s mother and maternal grandparents. It ends at a subdued marker for the author and her husband. Pleasant site for fans.

We're huge fans of the Anne of Green Gables series so wanted to stop and visit Lucy Maude Montgomery's final resting spot. Once you walk through the gates, go to the right & you'll see the 2 small trees and garden of red flowers.

Lucy Maud Montgomery's final resting spot in just around the corner from Green Gables park. Her grave is easy to find. Follow the path from the arched gateway, or look for (real only) flowers.
