Hi Jason am hoping this was resolved. Please, anyone sending emails, we are a small business and book via the phone. Our horses come first so if we are for any reason eg short staffed or there are other issues (last year for instance my mum became ill and passed so I was away a lot and not able to fo more and emails were not a priotity) then it might feel that you are being ignored, this is not the case. we always try our best. We really are a small business, bear with us!!

Hi and apologies. One of the farms business partners has had a bad accident. Is out of intensive care and on the mend but v traumatic for everyone, he's still in hospital will be for a while yet. This, combined with an already exhausting summer rides schedule, has affected their ability to get to calls emails are untouched. Am terribly sorry, but it is what it is. We are a rural business with a small team and cannot simply draught in the skill set required. This week we have our Cumbrian Classic Ride out and a lot of pre booked tides, plus Annie is taking on farm management as partner is in hospital. Not ideal but we cannot change anything. Will be working hard to try and catch up asap. With sincere apologies and hope this helps you understand, we're not ignoring you, we just cannot do more atm. It will improve!!! Please bear with us the yard and horses are ace but comms has been affected really sorry xxx

Hi there,it's been a while since you messaged but I wanted to answer to possibly help folk in future. We ask that people prebook, as we arrange staff and horses to suit the rides/ rider's. Some of our horses are very forward going g, others steadier. They are very big, so we do need to take extra care! We cannot, due to increasing amounts of Health and Safety guidelines, have you wondering around the yard unaccompanied as we are trying to get horses ready, but if the timing works we will give you a tour where we can introduce you to our horses. If its busy this might not be possible. I hope this helps, we are a friendly bunch but have horses to prepare for riding. Many thanks Annie xxxx

Hi there and thank you for the message. Ok, so arthritis is one thing then age is another. Our oldest rider to date...86. It's not about age it's about health and fitness irrelevant of age. Your weight too. We do not want to do the wrong thing for anyone be it instantly eg just getting on hurts, or that the action of the ride causes e.g. arthritis to flare up with unaccustomed exercise. It's a long way up! I would need far more individual information to determine if this is a good idea for you...height and weight, fitness generally, past riding experience, when if ever you last rode, and how your arthritis is affecting you atm. So if you wish to discuss this pls call me on 07769588565 and we'll see what we can do. If we can we'll offer an appropriate experience and then do all we can to make it amazing. My ground rule is that you must be able to get on by yourself from our mounting blocks- we do not have equipment to assist as we're not RDA...the horses are too big. HI there, as the other response indicates there are toilets both at the farm and at the beach. If anyone is actually caught short on the ride itself and believe me it happens we can enable you to dismount and do a 'country toilet' stop in the dunes/behind a rock etc. All I insist is that we leave no paper in this stunningly beautiful area. Bag it, bin it! We are able to assist anyone in remounting using natures own rocks/dunes/gates etc etc. Hope this helps......
