This review is a real surprise. I'm very sorry that Tommy G was disappointed. The shop usually looks fresh, neat, clean and is a pleasant place to visit. The staff, who are all volunteers, love what they do and I have never before heard of any of us being rude. If something had two prices on we would be concerned and grateful to the customer for drawing it to our attention. As for the first impression being poor - this is a minority view. Most customers remark on how lovely the shop is. We are a thriving co-operative: NOT a failing shop. I am left wondering why Tommy wrote such negative comments.

Thank you KB2417! We change our windows regularly: one of them showcases the work of one of our members or suppliers, the other is a themed window - a colour, a word, a style... We like to think that we have a good range of quality crafts, with something to suit everyone. But comments such as yours are very welcome.

Many thanks for your comment. We are a co-operative, with roughly sixteen members who all spend time volunteering in the shop, often doing crafts while they are there. We have reduced opening hours during January and part of February, aiming to be open every Wednesday and Saturday, but often on other days co-operative members will be there and therefore open up. Everything is made within a fifteen mile radius by someone who wanted to make it. Can't be bad!

Many thanks for your review. I think we are indeed well worth a visit and we really don't mind if people simply stop in to browse, mooch or potter! Purchasing something is entirely optional!

Really pleased that you enjoyed your two workshops. Susan contacted us in advance so it was easy to set up some activities. Anyone at all can do this. Small workshops are a lot of fun and people often go away with a completed item - or even a new skill. On our part - we enjoy meeting someone new and working with them.
