We visited the 'Mad Hatters Tea Room' on a gloomy and wet afternoon and I must say it really cheered us up. The tea room was lovely and well themed, with a good menu and 'proper tea'. The gallery/shop was interesting and we purchased some Christmas themed items which will remind us of our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Looked up places to eat in sedbergh and decided on a visit here.
Lovely little place upstairs above the shop. Not a huge amount of room but it was quiet when we went in.
Cappuccino was lovely and came in a huge cup and mum ordered tea, which was a massive pot!
We shared a platter of food with meats, cheese, pate, biscuits etc and was very nice indeed.
Staff nice and friendly and loads of nice stuff in the shop.

Have shopped here a few times mainly for gifts and also take advantage of the mad hatters tea room.
the shop has a changing eclectic mix of items and is well worth a good browse as my wife does frequently and as i listen albeit un knowingly i have scored many brownie points for buying gifts.
the tea rom is an excellent place to visit for tea coffee cakes etc which are excellent and provided by cheerful helpful staff
Havent tried the meals yet but no doubt that will happen in time

This is always a lovely shop to visit with many different gifts and things for around the house as well as Christmas gifts and decorations now in stock. Well worth a visit. Something for everybody.

Sweet but small cafe on the second floor of No 6 shop with a charming Alice in Wonderland theme . Does sandwiches , cakes, salad, cakes, toasties, cakes and afternoon tea ( with cake) . The cakes are gorgeous by the way.

We booked a mad hatters afternoon tea for 4 children and 3 adults and it was fantastic value. The children were delighted with the tables, vintage cups and saucers, cute little cake knives and forks and cake stands piled high with delicious cakes and sandwiches. We will certainly be making another visit to this charming establishment.

Great shop for the visitors and locals .
Exellent selection of gifts and stuff for the house but it has a cafe hidden away up the stairs selling a good selection of tea coffee and confectionery.
Nice staff and a warm welcome awaits the weary traveller.

Excellent shop for gifts and interior furnishings. Now has a very small tea room upstairs but there is no access for disabled people. Some items are a bit prices but you can also find some inexpensive items for presents. Would be nice if they had catered more for children's presents than clothes

Since opening, No.6 has been my go-to place for gifts of all types: wedding, christening and birthday gifts and gorgeous new home gift ideas. Every time I visit, I always purchase something special for myself too!
I would definitely recommend a visit at Christmas time! The decorations are beautiful, and I believe it to be very difficult to source anything of similar quality elsewhere; it's a given that my shelves are pretty much full of the products upstairs at No.6!
