Took my daughter for a trek for her birthday, she loves riding but is a bit nervous after an accident a while ago and the staff there were so patient and kind to her building her confidence until she was happily trotting without a lead rein. The trek took in some lovely views and it was great for her to get out of an arena and just enjoy being on a pony. We will definitely be back to visit Sparky and the rest of their gorgeous ponies soon!

My girls went on a mini trek. 5, 8 and 11. They all had a fantastic time riding through such beautiful countryside. The ladies were very friendly and helped put them all at ease. I would highly recommend and we hope to return next year when on holiday in this area again.

My wife went with her friend for a birthday treat. They're both in their 60's and neither of them have been on a horse for over 20 years and told this to the person who took them out. My wife's horse didn't pull in correctly on a road - probably her lack of experience. The instructor then tied a rope to her horse and led her the whole way. My wife complained that her saddle was slipping to one side: the instructor told her she was not sitting correctly and that her hands were up (they weren't as my wife's friend can attest). At no time did this "experienced" instructor stop and actually check the saddle. The instructor kept pulling the rope in closer until my wife's leg was rubbing up against the instructors horse. Absolutely appalling lack of patience, tolerance, compassion for rider and animal, and for the fact she was being paid good money. My wife could only assume that this woman had had a bad day. Neither of them shall be returning. Excuse my equine ignorance of Horse/Pony.

Brilliantly done by the loverly ladies ponys were family pony’s made for this is was amazing the place from start to finish hour hack walking around they most beautiful village in and around the farm fantastic ride not sure my inner thighs agrees but kids loved pony’s walked through little stream horses had a little drink bite of grass along the way thanks so much it was therapeutic

My daughter and her two friends, all 15 went out for a day's hacking with Sheila. The weather was bad in the morning session but didn't dampen the fun they had. All three of them had a wonderful day. They all said they would not hesitate suggesting others visit.

Can not rate sheila & her granddaughter enough! I was so nervous about trying this but riding was on my to do list and my auntie bought me a gift voucher!
We went when the weather wasn’t the best but it was still very relaxing and peaceful surroundings. Sheila is really nice and interesting, I really recommend going here if you are beginner as your nerves will be put at ease!
I will definately go back when the sun is out as Boltby is beautiful, the horses are well looked after and it is reasonably priced.

Had the best day with my daughter and friends.
The centre is lovely, the horses were healthy and very well behaved. The staff were great, very friendly and chatty.

Gorgeous 1 hour trek for our family 2 adults 2 older kids 15 and 11. Lovely chatty staff, beautiful gentle horses for us complete beginners and amazing scenery. Only slight criticism is we would have liked to have learnt the basics to maybe not be led next time?! Overall would 100% recommend.

It was an absolutely amazing experience, we were all novice riders but were made to feel completely at ease straight away. Our trek was through some glorious Yorkshire scenery and the horses were so lovely and gentle. I would recommend this experience to anyone regardless of their ability! Many thanks once again!

A lovely experience for me and my 9 year old. It was a very hot day and rightly so, the trek was shortened. The staff are very friendly and helpful and look after the horses well. Horses were well behaved. Scenery was amazing. Would love to do again.
