Hello there. Can you please look at this review. It is on the site of Kuranda Koala Gardens and we don't own or have anything to do with the cable car. It is very clear you were not at our premises and it is very strange as you should have had a ranger guided tour and it's almost impossible not to have one. This review on the wrong site brings down our overall rating, so kindly check and put it on the correct attraction. If you were are our premises, you would have seen Koalas, and other wildlife within minutes of crossing our rainforest bridge. For the record Koalas do not live in the wild in the rainforest, so you should not expect to see them there.

Hi there Susan. Kuranda Koala Gardens is a lovely place, our animals have ample space to exercise and our attraction is beautifully set out. Our Koalas are in excellent condition and I'm at the park regularly and they have a great appetite and are very active. This suggestion about the Butterfly Sanctuary makes me wonder if you were actually at our premises. There is another Koala park which is marketed as 'Koala Gardens' very similar and in fact this is our registered trade mark. All I can ask is that you email us at admin@koalagardens.com and we go through what you did and saw and how you got to us and we work out if you were at our park at all. In all honestly our animals are in the peak of condition, very healthy and what you are reporting is not consistent with our experience. Happy to discuss further.

Hi there Kai. Thanks for your review and comments. Ok lets get something clear right from the get go. Currumbin Sanctuary is owned by the National Trust, they are a charity and get a lot of government funding to help with their operations. They run a great conservation facility but we are private enterprise and cannot hope to compete with an organisation that doesn't need to make a profit to survive. Plus the greater Gold Coast has a population nearly 2 million people so they have so many more people to visit them than we have. It is not fair to put our boutique park in a small village in Kuranda up against large government and charity funded Zoos many of whom give free admissions to their visitors every weekend. We can't compete with free. Kuranda Koala Gardens is designed to be a convenient location in the Kuranda Village where it is easy to get to and you can see a range of iconic Australian species. To get to any of the parks you have raised, and I've been to them all, cost a lot of money to cab, uber, train, taxi or car hire. This also takes time, and you can spend over an hour (actually up to three hours) getting to many big zoos and then have to find your way home. Just saying as travellers need to know that what we offer is extremely convenient and cost effective. You can see wildlife, plus do a river cruise, see rainforest and do a train journey all in one day, and still have time to relax. Best regards.
