Very disappointed

This was a very disappointing experience. We ordered our food from what looked like a cafe style that hasn’t changed since the 60’s, our gluten free wraps were likely also made in the 60’s. Chips with the burger were from a packet of grain waves chips. There was no interaction and little information about the plantation, or how the tea is produced and dried. This is such a wasted opportunity. I would strongly discourage people from going if you have any expectations, if you are looking to waste some time this is the place for you.

Tree kangaroo definitely the highlight

Had a Devonshire tea at the tearooms, it was not an inexpensive cuppa but to be fair was a generous pot of tea (for two). Service was on the slow side, perhaps because there were two bus groups also sitting down to tea at the same time - it may be just our perception but it seemed the groups got served first. The tearooms have lots different sorts of Nerada-brand tea for sale as well as tea accoutrements like snazzy teapots. Not all the teas were priced though, which meant we didn't buy any.
All in all a bit ho-hum but definitely the highlight of our visit was, as we started to drive away, spotting a tree kangaroo in the row of trees immediately outside the tea-processing plant. The sighting added an extra star to our rating!

Great cuppa

I have been here a few times to try and see the elusive Tree Kangaroo. It's also a good excuse for a cuppa. I like to try and different one each time.

Unfortunately due to Covid they don't do tours anymore so it really is just a refreshment stop now, although there is a lot of good information on the walls.

The scones are great, as are the Gluten Free ones (which is rare). Make sure you take a selfie with the giant cup and saucer.

The best Devonshire tea in the tablelands- hands down.

We enjoyed the visit here so mush, we also drove back (out of our way, in the opposite direction) the very next day to visit again. The reason why, the Devonshire tea was the best we had for the entire trip, the scones where light and fluffy, the jam was exceptional and the cream was fresh.
The staff was so helpful and friendly and the business was clean and very tidy, and more than happy to pack things up for takeaway.

The business was well organised and even though a tour group came in the staff where prepared and the standards of service did not drop.

Our first visit was after lunch in the afternoon and yes we did see the tree kangaroo’s moving about, our second visit was the next morning and we did not see anything.

Parking is open with lots of space and close to the buildings.

I would recommend the drive out to the plantation as it is well worth it.

Drop by for a lovely cuppa and Devonshire Tea

What a sensational black tea cuppa and beautiful scones with cream and two different jams. We relaxed after a long drive across the Tablelands, in a lovely room overlooking the tea plantation. The tips of the plants were just about to be harvested. I found the staff very friendly and informative. I told them I have been drinking Nerada tea since last century! (1977).

Definitely 100%

Not sure why so negative comments but my visit is 200% positive

The marketing team needs to work harder to promote their view, not many people know

If you like tea, go somewhere else.

Not a great experience. If you like chai, don’t order one here, terrible. As for the hot chocolate, more like warm milk. The scone was overpriced and pretty ordinary. We did tell them what we thought, and get a very rude response, but in fairness we did get a refund without asking.

So disappointed

Visiting from Victoria I was keen to visit as I drink Nerada at home. I was very disappointed there were no tours of the plantation,just the tea rooms open.
I ordered a Devonshire tea for one. Half an hour later the tea arrived. After an hour the tea was finished but still no scone. At this time I had to leave. Terrible!

Wonderful time at the cafe. Had delicious tea with rose petals and husband had an iced tea. Very friendly lady served us. Highly recommend.

Amazing High Tea and Plantation tour

We booked the high tea and asked if we could do a tour of the plantation while we were there. No issues and quickly organised and the knowledge by the staff was extensive and expert. The high tea was nothing short of amazing. Food and service brilliant
