I stopped in and did a tasting flight of gins (the regular 3 plus one from the special menu), all were excellent and represented a nice variety of styles. Their food menu looked nice as well. The space is modern, stylish, and well connected to the outdoor space. I couldn't resist buying a bottle! Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

Huge thanks to Trudy and the team at Ambleside for a great event. The tasting and making your own Gin was a great experience. The venue is modern, comfortable and set in some amazing grounds. The team give you a great insight into the distillery process and walk through the different varieties of Gin on the tasting pallet. I would definitely recommend this as one of the best tasting rooms I have been to.

We had sampled some of the gins prior to visiting, so were aware of the high quality of product on offer already, and enjoyed the ones we hadn't already tried.
What we got as a bonus was some of the nicest service we have ever received, cocktails of extreme deliciousness, (Apple pie) and in a venue of class and comfort. One of the highlights of our SA visit.

Had a great Friday lunch experience at Ambleside. The Gin Flight experience was very good. Very well explained by very friendly and knowledgeable staff, Rosie and Jordan. The lunch Menu was just right for a light, but generous feed. We had the gormet toastie and Dip Platter. Very enjoyable experience overlooking manicured bush garden and creek. Plus the gin was great!

Nice place, been there a few times. However, went with a party of 20 and the way payment was managed was a disaster. Thankfully Jordan (staff member) was the one single customer oriented person in the place. would recommend going, just not with a group of people.

Lovely atmosphere & beautiful views, however the service was incredibly slow. We had a prior booking & it took nearly two hours for two rounds of drinks to be served. Granted it was a busy long weekend, but for a gin place to pour a G&T it took a very long time. We also felt that the walk ins got priority over the booked groups. Sadly because of the lack of service we won’t be back.

interesting menu of gins expertly explained by our server. Lovely building with window seats or outdoor dining and views. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

Great location and set-up, opted for the gin flight and it was all very good. They also have a fi get food and non alcoholic options for those not looking for a drink.

Attended the Gin Masterclass over the weekend at the Ambleside Distillery set in a lovely location not far from the Handorf village.
The distillery is still under construction however, there is a small interal seating area and lots of covered outdoor seating overlooking the beautiful countryside.
As it was called a Masterclass I expected more detailed information / instruction. It was a very loose, casual affair and the best part was the opportunity to make 2 gin mixes of your own concoction to take home.
Those attending were offered 10% off food and gin purchases.
This will be a lovely venue when fully completed and able to seat the 150 patrons as planned.
