Traffic is terrible, park far away and walk. Ubers are worse than Nashville. They triple/quadruple prices, especially for events like football games or concerts. Just walk.
Ex: An 8 minute Uber ride (not miles, minutes, little traffic) costed us $80.

My wife and I attended the Ohio Stadium for the Morgan Wallen concert. I have not been to this stadium but I must say I probably won’t come to another show at this venue. It took us 30 min to walk around the inside of the stadium because there was no organization to the foot traffic. On top of that, the stadium decided to changeover 1/2 of the male bathrooms to women’s. I’ve never waited 30 minutes to use the restroom before so that was a bummer. On the plus side, the weather was decent and Morgan performed for 1 hour and 45 min. Shorter than other shows but he prob needed to leave early so he could find a bathroom.

Nothing terribly wrong. But the place shows it’s age, especially the higher you go. The bench seating is obviously uncomfortable. But there were also rows where I saw standing water because the concrete was not leveled right. On the way up to C deck in the stairwell we also passed an area that was so poorly lit we literally couldn’t see each other or the path itself. This was in the day time. A person could hide there just by standing in the shadow and you’d never know. On the good side, the sound seemed pretty good (we were attending a concert).

People in Ohio were the loveliest and friendly people. We attended the BUCKEYE COUNTRY SUPERFEST - awesome is not strong enough for the great time we had. The
Bristol Republic- Food, Staff and Music over the top, highly recommend. Tailgate Party so much fun.....Toured winery, brewery and distillery , all very good and friendly. BAD part our booking for our AirBnB cancelled 7 days out, we had to find new accommodations fast. VRBO - the Yellowbird Inn - BAD, the worst! Fested with ants, stained bath towels, no toaster, no air conditioning, no hair blower as listed. The front door plywood rotten, thought we would fall through so sponge. No facecloths, no hand towels, no dish soap or towels. Tried posting a revew through VRBO, put up walls and edit more edits never posted!!!

Was extremely disappointed with the seating and view of the stage, especially when paying over $300 for each "seat" for Section 15AA. It isn't even a seat, it's space on a bench that is very uncomfortable with no "seat" back. I don't think they should be able to call it a "seat" when selling. I've never experienced this in any stadium when paying this range of price. Also, the amount of space given for each "seat" is not enough! We were on the end and once everyone was seated, we did not have enough and I sat sideways on the end. It also created some very uncomfortable moments when people left their seats and then came back to not enough room as others had shuffled and spread out not leaving enough space for them when they returned to their seat. I witnessed this in many other rows as there is not enough space for each person. Also, there was a constant stream of people coming down the aisle to the floor level which blocked our view of the stage. I did not have the opportunity for one full minute at any time during the 7-hour event to have a clear vision of the stage due to this constant traffic. Again, never experienced this in any other venue of this type. Their flow of people from the floor really needs to be changed.

I have never had an opportunity to attend a football game at Ohio State University's Ohio Stadium. So I did the next best thing. I took a tour of the third largest on-campus football stadium in the United States with a capacity of 102,780 and the fifth largest stadium in the world. Opened in 1922, it is unique in many ways. Designed by architect Howard Dwight Smith, it was the nation's first concrete double-deck stadium and the largest concrete structure in the world. Smith opted for a unique horseshoe shape so the curve ensured the crowd always faced the field. Hence, the stadium's popular nicknames, "The Horseshoe" and "The Shoe." But of all the unique features of Ohio Stadium, including a 124 feet by 42 feet Panasonic HD scoreboard with a Pro Sound audio system with 25 speakers, the most unique feature of all is the Rotunda. Located at the north end, it was designed to look like the dome of the Pantheon in Rome. That's where the tour begins. Three panels that are 12 feet by 18 feet and weigh 2,000 pounds each have welcomed visitors for more than 15 years, since their installation as part of the most recent stadium renovation. The stained glass windows feature offensive and defensive players and the classic Block O, which are beautiful in the daylight but take on a special glow during the evening when lit. Curiously, the design of the tile and rosettes in the Rotunda incorporates the blue and yellow (maize) colors of rival Michigan, not the grey and scarlet colors of Ohio State. But the fact is they were part of the construction plan that was drawn up in 1921 and approved by Ohio State's Board of Trustees. From the Rotunda, visitors can view the football trophies on display in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center's front lobby, experience the Yassenoff Recruit Center filled with photographs of current and former Ohio State football greats, take an elevator to one of the nation's largest collegiate press boxes where over 400 media and staff are seated for games, visit the Huntington Club level and view the field from one of the 81 luxury suites, visit the $1.5 million Steinbrenner Band Center and finally get an opportunity to walk on the field itself. Walk along the sideline where coach Woody Hayes once roamed, then walk on the turf where two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin once made history and where Heisman Trophy winner Vic Janowicz once ran for two touchdowns, passed for four touchdowns, kicked 10 extra points and played safety on defense in an 83-21 victory over Iowa and where golfing legend and Ohio State alum Jack Nicklaus dotted the "i" while the marching band performed Script Ohio. In case you are interested, it costs $4,000 a season to purchase a chair on the 50-yard-line. And that doesn't include a required membership in the Buckeye Club.

Just went here to The Game between Michigan and Ohio State… wow was it electric. 108,000 People in the stands, it was loud, it was passionate, and boy was it fun. Our seats in sec 14C were great, could see the whole field… still $700 though which is the only downfall of college sporting events, expensive! Don’t wait to buy tickets.
Regardless, its a awesome stadium and good experience!

At 100 years old The Shoe remains America's most iconic football stadium, and with 4 generations of TBDBITL performing a quartet of Script Ohio on 9/17/22 the blowout 77-21 victory over Toledo was one for the history books!

We went to see the OSU Buckeyes beat Rutgers yesterday. This was our second visit to the Shoe but it had been awhile. A few notes:
1. We parked at Fawcett Center - parking was $30 - it was a short walk (10 minutes) to the Shoe.
2. There is tailgating EVERYWHERE - it appears police/security do not bother you if you keep it next to your auto/in your area - but do not walk around with alcoholic drinks.
3. The tailgate parties by the stadium - have live bands, food trucks and drinks if you don't want to do your own tailgate. Beers are $8 - for 16 oz - they also have Claws, Jack Daniels w/mixers, etc.
4. We went to the Scull session - it starts 2 hrs 20 minutes prior to game time in St. John's Arena which is next to the Show. Some suggested arriving very early. We got there about 40 minutes prior and felt it was too early. We could have gotten seats if we had walked in 10 or 15 minutes prior. The best seats are the ones facing the empty seats (you will understand this when you arrive) but those looked like they filled up an hour before. I recommend doing this at least once - fun to see the band (TBDBITL), the coaches and the players - and to get fired up for the game.
5. We walked into the stadium about an hour before game time. This gave us time to find our seats and watch warm ups and pre-game festivities.
6. Seats are tight for sure - not a lot of space. You can bring a cushion if you would like - but no bags larger than a clutch.
7. Beers are $9.50 for 16 oz.
8. Bathroom lines can be long - so plan ahead. You can also walk a little further and possibly find a shorter line.
9. Don't miss halftime with tbdbitl - fabulous talent for sure!
10. The energy is fabulous for a game. Go and enjoy!

We have floor tickets for Def Leppard/ Alice Cooper where is the best place to park?
Can you buy parking ahead of time on the West Campus? Looking for one for Buckeye Countryfest, and the link is not working so I think they are all sold out. Would that link also be for West campus? Any other reasonable and safe suggestions? Willing to take Iber or other transport from the parking to the venue. Thanks!
Can you carry in water? Do you have to have clear bag to carry? I have oxygen is that a problem carry in?

Do the roads to the Stadium get shut down or blocked off at some point before, during or after the game? What time is it too late to drive to the Stadium during an OSU v *ichigan noon game?

We are planning on going to a Buckeye's Football Game next fall (2022) and are wondering what everyone recommends for a hotel. We won't have access to a car so we would like to stay somewhere that is within walking distance of the stadium and plenty of bars and restaurants. This is a bucket list trip for us so we don't mind splurging a little to stay someplace convenient to be able to take in the whole game day experience. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

We are looking for recommendations for Hotels- we have a large group that comes that travels to an away game every year. We were thinking the motel 6 Columbus OSU because it’s in walking distance to stadium.... but my understanding that the bar district is in another area? Does anyone know of a downtown hotel that may be better? We have always struggled with staying close to the stadium vs close to the bars...

As you might assume, there are NUMEROUS bars downtown. A could hotels/motels you might try would be the Red Rood Inn downtown near the Convention Center or the fairly new Hampton Inn downtown on North Big St---also not too far from the Convo Center. There are several other hotels downtown, but those two would, most likely, have lower rates. PLEASE BE ADVISED: at this point in time, you're going to have GREAT difficulty finding a vacant room at ANY motel that's within walking distance of the stadium on a home game weekend. The same can also be said about hotels downtown!! Good luck!
