The park is huge, and apparently the bridge which crosses a river leading to the park is broken, so there's a bit of a walk from the car park to the actual park under the sun. Combined with the amount of walking inside, it is very tiring, esp in summer. There's a deer park, with some lovely deer families inside, but because of the heat, they were resting too, and we couldn't really see them frolic or playing. There's a bird park a little further inside, which is lovely. You get to feed the birds, and watch them. The pens are pretty large, and though it's disheartening to see them caged, it isn't as bad as having to watch them be totally restricted.
There're some other paid activities like a rope park, a zip line etc. There's a river, which was dried up for the summer when we went, so we didn't really go down to it. A restaurant at the end which provides cold juices and ice creams made up for the long walk.
All in all, tiring, but nice for the kids.

We didn't like the place much. There is nothing in name of nisarg. Was sad to see bird park & seeing poor things in cage. & People taking pics taking them in hand. This can be skipped totally.

Worst ...there is nothing in the park...4 almost about to die stage deers..the hanging bridge was closed and had to walk almost 1.5 km to reach the place ...after reaching there is nothing to see...don't waste your time and energy.

Excessively commercialised. Main entry was closed and the new passage was through a sea of hawkers and shacks. Exceedingly noisy and unpleasant.
The park itself is just a bamboo plantation. Very dusty and crowded. All bamboos have names scribbled on them by visitors. Many displays of run down life size statues.
Totally avoidable.

you can easily spend 3-4 hours.. bamboo forest, food, shopping, entertainment, boat house, small hike, good restroom facilities

Highlights
Hanging bridge at the entrance
Huge and well maintained forest park. Entry fee of Rs.10/20 per adult
Paddle boating towards the end of the hanging bridge on its right side at Rs100/200 per person for 10 mins. It was good
On the left end of the hanging bridge is a open food court. There are no refreshment shops or restaurants after that
Kids park
Clean toilets are available in the park
Tree house near kids park and after that as well
Benches are available to sit
Birds park where you get to see and click pictures with big and small birds on paid basis. Do try !!
You are allowed to feed birds for free but you will have to bring your own bird food
Bird park has a different entrance fee
Small Zip line for Rs.100, worth trying if you want to try zip line but is slightly afraid of heights.
There are also other outdoor games/ activities on paid basis like rope climbing etc
We couldn’t find the deer park and the small snake park
Towards the end of the park, you will get to see Kaveri river, you are allowed to take a free dip there. The water is not too deep

Excellent place to connect with nature. Go for big bird feeding & small bird feeding. Deer Park & aviary are worth visiting with children.

This is one of the must visit place in coorg.
It is very beautiful and well maintained.
Inside you have bird park where you can feed exotic birds and also take photos with bjg birds like Macau.
Inside you can see other animals phesants,turkey,turtle,ducks etc.Kids will love this place.
And at the end you have the river you can sit and relax there.

This is mainly a reserve converted into a family/kids parks. The park offers a variety of activities such as paddle boating, zipline, bird feeding zone, deer park etc.
We visited the park during the afternoon and we were unable to see any deer's, maybe due to the heat.
I would suggest to visit the park if you have kids as they would enjoy this place thoroughly as they would find plenty of things to do.
The park is attached to a large market place selling local products, clothes and food!

A decent place to spend half a day with your family and friends. There are few tree houses. Better to take sunglasses or cap on a sunny day.

Do you need to walk a lot from parking space to the river?
Are there wheelchairs avaliable for old people?

Not much distance to the bridge over river and river itself, but for elderly people, it can be tough, as there are stairs to climb up and down for bridge and river. No idea about wheelchair. You can enquire at ticket counter. I have not seen any wheelchair though!
Can we bath in the river there?

It is dirty with bacteria, you would not want to bathe in there. But I saw parents putting their children with diapers or removing pants of boys and letting them go in. What dangerous nonsense! Please do not risk it. :-(

yes. It's better in any season for that matter. It's basically a man-made place . Bridge over Kauveri river, park, different rides outside, market etc. Go visit anytime.

It is a ok ok place, usually crowded. The boating is not great, there is a zip line for Rs. 100 a ride, for about 50 meters. Overall you can spend about 2 hours here.
