Yes I believe there is a play area for children but as we have never taken children there we are not too sure.

I’m not sure whether you are referring to getting to Sherringham Park or when you are in Sherringham Park? We got the bus from West Runton to the Park so avoided the long road that runs parallel to the park which isn’t pleasant walking. However, you can also walk from Sherringham to one of the main entrances to the park that is near the big country house, I.e. you turn left past the Sherringham railway station, over the railway bridge, cross the main road, keep walking past the school, turn right and you will walk past some houses and a pretty church. Keep walking and you will come to the entrance to the park. You can then walk through very pretty woodland and park to the cafe, which I think is only open on Saturdays during winter, for the Park Run. Hope this helps:)

The park tries to extend the season of the rhododendrons (!), within the limits of the species, so from late May to late June you should at least see a few. There are other things to visit for, too! Like the steam railway, picnic grounds, wildlife and spectacular views.

Ther is no entrance charge for pedestrians. The only charge is for parking.

No problem with taking dogs as long as they are well behaved.

They were free, but you had to do a little driving test, drive to an area, turn and come back. That was in May. You might also have to book a scooter in advance. I don't know if you have to do this on the website. You also have to fill out a liability form. They are well worth it as you can see a lot more of the gardens. Hope this helps.
