we stayed in our motorhome near there, we went in the windmill for a meal, very good meal and a pleasant atmosphere.

Good honest well presented food . Well kept beers and reasonable prices . interior is bright and clean and the decor is in good order but a little dated . Friendly bar service .

We stopped here last night on route to our campsite. What a lovely warm welcome and fabulous food. We had a 6 year old with us and they adapted the menu for him. We had a lovely night eating and drinking. What we found nice is the landlord came over and chatted with us and took a genuine interest. All staff were lovely and the atmosphere in the pub was really warming oh and what a beautiful well kept garden. We will definitely be returning. 😁 thank you for your hospitality you are doing everything right.

We came here for our 3rd anniversary, as we came here on her first date. We arrived with a happy anniversary banner on the window we were next too and confetti on the table. When our mains were brought out we were offered a drink on the house to celebrate. Our food was amazing. Best food we have had for a long while. Highly recommend anyone who comes through Necton to try here. Staff were soo friendly and they truly made this experience unforgettable.

The food was not as good as I’d hoped/read on here.
The decor and menus are a bit stuck in the past & it took almost an hour for our food to be served as there were lots of large tables (of elderly, local) diners who seemed to all talk very loudly!
so with hungry children it was a bit of struggle and the adults food was over cooked (we had a burger and the liver).
The staff were lovely and the prices were reasonable just a shame our meals weren’t up to scratch.

We have only just found this place, what a find. We have been twice now and both times the selection, food and service has been excellent. The last time was for my birthday and my husband had arranged surprise guests. Everyone in the restaurant helped keep the secret and make it special. This restaurant is 20 miles from us but it is worth the journey.

We visited here as a group of 6 for lunch, we booked the day before. The restaurant was fully booked but we were offered a table in the bar. We were very happy sitting in the bar. The menu was really good, offering home made food. It was a difficult choice as it all sounded good, we will just have to visit more regularly. We were all very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. We wouldn’t normally have desserts at lunch time but one look at the menu and that was it.... we ordered desserts. Amazing syrup sponge pudding, waffles, cheesecake and crumble. Great food, Thank you.

Our monthly lunch group had their meeting here & as usual the meals served were first class. Service was swift. Food well presented & delicious. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Visited on Saturday night for birthday meal with my sister in law and husband, the restaurant was busy but the service and food were superb.
Fishcake starter was delicious and just the right size, main course 3 of my party ordered steak, all cooked as requested and My pan fried Lambs liver melted in my mouth. The food here is a good few notches above pub grub and is as good as many much more expensive restaurants, you will not be disappointed, great food, great service, great value for money!
