Child got their head stuck in one of the vertical rollers at the top of the slide. Not safe at all (City Centre location). Design is such that there are loads of blind spots so you can't see that your child is ok all the time, and yet you can't go all the way round with them either.
Springfield location: Ordered food and one person had a dietary requirement; when food arrived and we asked which food was which the lady looked at us like we'd just blown our nose on her wedding dress, then she screwed up her face and shrugged her shoulders. Our request was related to a baby as well which makes it worse. They have responded to comments on FB complaining about not being able to provide your own snacks, by saying " we can accommodate every dietary requirement if you tell us"...but clearly they have no training or care for the matter. She was clearly an owner as her whole family came in at one point and took over the place, so they can't use the excuse that maybe it was an inexperienced new member of staff. Also the toilets reeked of stale urine. I had to open a window and air it out so I could use the toilet as it really got in your nose.
I feel we've given both locations a good try and we were hoping to buy annual passes and hold our children's birthday parties here but I feel like their mostly positive reviews have given them a sense of confidence which facilitates complacency.

Lovely play area for children very clean and staff are so friendly I’ve even booked for sons birthday party in the future. My review if for the one NOT in the city Center as this is for under 7s only.

I think you have the wrong picture up for mace place. You should check if out and fix it very quickly as some people may take offence

Mace playce city centre is a really lovely soft play, perfect for under 5’s. My only criticism is there a huge lack of healthy snacks for kids - if you can’t give your own snacks the options should include fruit, and low sugar options.

beware of giving deposit because as soon as you do the price goes up and up and up, not trustworthy, and then they TRY and keep your deposit, they leave you down at last minute, scammers !!¬!

Great place, would recommend to anyone that has small children, they do great little events as well.

This was our first visit here with our 6 month old and 2 year old, and we will definitely be returning!
They have a brilliant section for the under 2s, with a huge variety of baby toys. This was great for us, as often baby’s don’t have much to occupy them at soft play, but our little one was happily playing for our whole slot! We did notice that quite a few toys had run out of batteries, but there were plenty others so that wasn’t a huge issue.
The under 4 section had a small soft play frame and a variety of toy cars etc for them to play with. Our toddler enjoyed playing here for a while, but did get a bit bored after about an hour and wanted to go on the main frame. There is a gate on the entrance to the under 2 section, but it would have been nice if there was one at the under 4 entrance too as our toddler kept darting out into the legs of the staff carrying plates of food.
The main frame is recommended for older children, but it says that younger children can use it is accompanied by an adult. It all looks very new, and our toddler particularly loved the trampoline.
Covid wise, everything was very clean and slots are staggered to allow for thorough cleaning in between. We liked that everyone was allocated a table as you entered.
The car park is quite small. With restricted numbers, this wasn’t an issue for us. In normal times though I can imagine it would be tricky to find a spot at peak times. We didn’t try the food, but it smelt delicious and the menu looked great.

Had high hopes for this place as the reviews were so good- but I won’t be returning. The car park is small and chaotic. When walking to the venue we had to walk past people smoking at the entrance (!). The place itself is very small. It was absolutely jam packed- granted it was the weekend, but there was hardly any room to move. There were no tables left
so nowhere to put our bags so had to leave them at the side of the room. The baby changing was dirty and the toilet hand dryer didn’t work. It was really noisy and ridiculously overstimulating- we left soon after. As we left we were clouded in vape from someone vaping at the entrance.

Generally a nice clean place to take your kids for a couple of hours. The food isn’t particularly good but it’s not awful. What is awful, is the coffee. It’s weak and rank. I asked for a double shot when I bought a friend a latte recently but it still tasted crap.
There’s really no excuse. Especially when your catering for parents who need to take the edge off of parenting.
I generally buy a cup of hot water (used to be free, but they’ve cottoned on, as many do it now) and bring my own teabag.

My kids (4 & 1) really enjoy their time at Mace Playce. Mace Playce have different areas for babies, 2-5 years and older children. That is really good especially for babies who would could explore safely without older children in their way. The costs per entry is reasonable. Also it is a good place to have kids party. Mace Playce often have different events and we have only been to a few, include the most recent Santa Grotto. It costs more as it sometimes includes toys/ food, depending on events.
