Great day out - lots of fun!

Visited here whilst staying at a nearby caravan site and had a great day out! So many things to do, we were never bored and my 3 year old had a fantastic time! There’s plenty of open space to run around, and lots of activities to keep little ones busy.
Also noticed the cleanliness of the place, the toilets in particular were very tidy and clean.

A fantastic party venue and day out

We had a wonderful 6th birthday party here for my son and his friends. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and great with kids. The venue is fab. We loved the private teepee area where we could eat and celebrate and the kids loved the sleds, quad bikes, climbing frames and sandpit and water play. The party food was great, especially the ice cream and they catered very well for allergies too. We stayed all day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everyone who attended the party said they would be back.

Hasty's is fantastic.

A beautiful clean setting with lots to keep little minds active. Entry fee is readonable too and booking a slit is easy. Kiosk was the best and my granddaughter of 3 enjoyed her hot chocolate deluxe. I'm definitely going to take the rest of the grandchildren very down and will take a picnic lunch for an even better summer experience . I just LOVE a picnic.

Cheap & fantastic day out

Absolutely fabulous day out with the kids. One 7 year old & 8 month old. Animals very happy well and we'll kept. Loads of fun for the adults & children to do. Downhill sledding, go kart racing and many many more things. We took a picnic which is encouraged as long as you take the rubbish home/ place it in one of the many rubbish bins about the park. There is a cute coffee shop called cowpaccino that is reasonably priced. Tickets reasonably priced for entering too baby was free. Staff were all very friendly & welcoming with lots of informative boards about telling you all about the importance of the animal & wilderness.
Would highly recommend for a cheap & fun day out :)

Visited recently for the first time. Goodness! How have I not known about Hastys before! It’s fabulous! I particularly like the caring ethos of both their animals and their customers. The farm is also unspoiled without all the commercialism that so many places have.
Plenty to do for the children and lots of interactive stuff.
Staff were courteous and went out of their way to ensure we felt welcomed!
A must if you’ve never been and a must if you have…. Will be going back! Well done Hasty’s

Expensive entrance charges

An excellent day out but adult entry price has become too high. I understand people need to make money but this has become too expensive for families especially in times of financial crisis.
We took the grandchildren as we have done many times over the last 5 years and living local, but £11.95 for adults when it is really for children is a bit eye watering. You can save £1 by booking online but have to pay a booking fee which again feels as though you’re being ripped off. At the end of the day if entry was cheaper more people would spend at the shops I’m sure, so in my opinion it is not a good way to encourage and welcome families or repeat visits. Hastys is a great place, but it’s now much better value to buy an annual pass for Colchester zoo.

Overpriced

Not worth the money, cost us with one adult and two children nearly £40 to stand in a field and feed animals, hardly any animals there only 2 pigs few sheep, 3 alpacas and a lot of goats. Is not well managed with activities like the peddle bikes, almost impossible to get a turn, only spent an hour here as not much to do. There is equipment for young children although not much food choice if planning to come here I recommend bringing food in advance. Would not come again

Thank you for your feedback. You may feel like there wasn't many animals this is because we do not over crowd our enclosures, we like our animals to have the freedom to graze. We have play areas for all ages of children, peddle tractors for the younger children under 5 and go karts for the older children to enjoy plus so much more. Overcharged

I leave this poor review down to the staff at the front desk! Of whom over charged me. We was a family or 3. One adult, one 6 year old and 1 nearly 2yrs cost me £41. My friend who paid straight after me for the same ages was charge £35! We was a group of 6 so they definitely knew they’d overcharge and didn’t even mention it! I didn’t even realise at first until my friend said how comes you was charged more and I got two bags for animal feed? I went back to the desk which I was refunded £9 which still I paid more than her with the feeds but I couldn’t be bothered to argue as the staff wasn’t even apologetic about it and made it seem like I was causing an inconvenience! Due to this I will not be returning to the farm due to the customer service received! Please make sure you check the price you’re being charged as I don’t think this was a one off and more than likely do this quite a lot due to the repose of the staff!

Great fun

Overall very good. Lots to do - climbing area great for my 5 year old - not suitable for younger children.
Altogether we had a great time. Would have been better if there was proper food or even sandwiches available. Need to take your own packed lunch

A Farm with so much more.

Wonderful day out with plenty to do and see. Very clean & well kept and the animals look very well looked after & happy. My Sister & I took our grandchildren who are 5, 6, 11 & 12 and they thoroughly enjoyed the day. There is plenty of seating areas to enjoy your picnic, clean toilets & once you enter, you don't have to spend any more money there, unless you want ice cream, tea, coffee or snacks.
