We went onto the pier after visiting Clacton to see family. It brought back lots of memories as my nan had a caravan there when I was young and I loved the pier then. They had a new crazy golf on there, it was clean and tidy, the amusements seemed well looked after. It was nice to walk along with places to get food and drink.

Hi Joanie, pleased to here that your latest visit to the pier brought back many happy family memories from the past. That' what we are all about - making memories that last a lifetime! We were staying in Colchester for my partners Birthday. We caught the local bus & had a day at the seaside. Ist time I had been to Clacton ,I so enjoyed it. We walked all along the promenade & the Pier it is such a lovely place.

Visited the park on Sunday after 6pm, paid £9.95 per person for the unlimited wristband , which was good value. Nice assortment of rides that kept the kids amused. The only negative on the pier is the lack of toilets, when the pier is busy, the queue for the toilets are horrendous.

Hi Matt, many thanks for the review and four stars - we really appreciate your feedback. The special unlimited ride wristband was extended this year to cover more dates and it certainly has proved popular and good value for money. Glad you made the most of the offer. Like most large attractions when they are busy, it is very difficult to provide enough toilets - and just what is enough? However, there a large set of public toilets just outside the pier entrance which can also be used. We are always keeping such issues under review and thank you for your comments.

Staff were friendly and engaging but £5 a person is too much. The whole experience lasts about 10 minutes at most, with a 5 minute 4d film. Kids enjoyed it but should be half the price charged

Hi Paul, thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We opened our new Jurassic Pier at Whitsun. We have already made operational changes since then, such as reducing the price to £5 and reducing the height at which people can enter to .85 of a metre so that more children can enjoy it. Both of these have proved very popular with most of our customers. We note your comments and always keep our rides and attractions under review.

Was fun the roller coaster was okay but I think they should be more carts as the lines are big, disappointed that the waltzer was closed considering it hasn’t been open in a few months😔 and many people love and enjoy that ride

Hi, many thanks for your feedback which is very important to us. We are keen to hear what our customers think and we are glad you enjoyed the Looping Star Roller Coaster which is always a big draw. It is true there may be queues at peak times of day in the summer but this is only to be expected of one of our most popular rides. Our Waltzer ride has undergone a £100,000 refurbishment and will be back very, very soon. It will be well worth the wait.

We went to the pier today to do Jurassic pier and we was so disappointed. It lasts all of 5 minutes and it was just not good at all! I was expecting the big dinosaurs to actually move and make a noise but they were still. When you got in the cinema the show itself lasts 5 minutes and then that’s it. It didn’t look any different when you took your 4d glasses off. Really expensive for such a quick activity!! At most it should be £3 per person and then maybe more people would go in. Considering it’s the summer holidays and the weekend no one was in there. It was empty! Actually really annoyed that so much money was spent as a birthday treat for my daughter from her nan and and we all walked away disappointed. The photos at the beginning they take of you all, half of us were cut out and they didn’t even offer to retake the photo. Just poor! Would not recommend it at all.

Hi, sorry you did not enjoy Jurassic Pier and were disappointed with the experience. We appreciate all feedback and take on board points made by our customers.
We would just like to point out that the experience is a minimum of ten minutes - the 4D film alone is around 6 minutes. We’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the new film, in particular the 3D effect. There are also other special effects including wind, air blasts, water spray, leg ticklers and seat movement.
We will ask our team to monitor the photos more carefully as people are only cut off if they are seated too far apart. We do need to keep a check on that.
We would also point out that the price has been lowered from when the attraction first opened at Whitsun and that has also been welcomed by our customers and appreciated.

Very clean. Very, very geared towards children. Not much for adults. If you have kids I would recommend getting one of their cards, you get a bonus for the cash you load on to it. The boardwalk was great, had music on while we were there and to sit outside with a drink in the sunshine was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

Hi Bev, many thanks for your feedback and four star rating. We aim to provide a diverse range of attractions for all ages to enjoy and we are very much set up for families as a whole. Some adults enjoy going on the rides with their kids, there is the adventure golf, the arcade, and various outlets to enjoy some thing to eat and drink. Our Boardwalk Bar and Grill, with its latest in social entertainment technology is also a hit with our adult customers. As you say there was also live music at the Boardwalk and we are glad you made the most of that with a drink in the sunshine. We were lead to understand from the website that dogs were allowed on the pier but a sign on the entrance said No Dogs

We do not allow dogs on the Pier, unless it is a guide dog or an assisted dog. It is for the general safety and wellbeing of the majority of our customers. I will check the website but do not believe there is anything referring to dogs being allowed. Thanks for your question.

I remember its a lot of steps to get down to the pier. And a very steep hill to get back up. We would like to return soon, but wondered is there a kind of lift/elevator to help disabled people and their carers access?
