Readers' Garden Book Store is one of the things I love about Granville. There is a mix of new and used books, and the selection is very high quality and diverse. The owner and employees are happy to chat and recommend books and they have authors and artists visit occasionally for group discussions. I go about once a week because I'm a book and people lover! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Granville for the first time, or who has lived here for years.

Joanne, Eloise, Anne, Lyn, MK and others make Readers' Garden a great place to browse. The staff is composed of people who not only read, but who are familiar with a wide variety of books well beyond the bestsellers. It is a reminder of the pleasure a visit to a real bookstore once was.

Downtown Granville, Ohio is the cutest, walkable area about 3-4 blocks long. We popped into this bookstore to purchase a postcard of Denison University or Granville itself, and ended up chatting with the owner and browsing through the books for at least an hour. A true, old style book store. I wish we could transport this shop and its lovely owner to our own neighborhood. Do visit - you're sure to enjoy it.
