What a wonderful experience at the Woodland Spa. Treatments, Thermal Experience & Food all excellent. All staff very warm and welcoming. Would definitely return in the future.

Lovely stay with a spa day included. Second time I’ve done this with friends - as before, lovely staff, great rooms and good evening meal in Wilfred’s after a very relaxing spa experience. Hard to think of anything that didn’t work well for us. Will certainly return - again!

Bought two vouchers for the spa was told I had 12 month to use them 6 month 2 day after I’ve tried to book spa to be told vouchers expired 2 days ago but that’s only 6 month not 12 like I was told answer was we’ve changed it this year not willing to do anything I was a regular but won’t ever go again they took my money and won’t honour the booking

I have now been twice as a family member likes the place, the first time the food was very poor, but I thought I was unlucky.
This time my wife accompanied me and she has the fish and chips, the fish was unseasoned and had no taste. I had the burger which at £15 plus an additional charge for cheese was very poor, I would have enjoyed Mac Donald’s more, the beef was not seasoned, the bread was very poor too.
Another guest had the fish pie, the mashed potato looked like it was manufactured and the fish was grey and looked disgusting.
3 main courses, 3 soft drinks, 1 tea and 1 coffee and £66 is crazy for food that was bordering on inedible.
Service was good, but the place is really noisy.
It’s busy which is frankly a mystery to me.

We booked the spa day months ago and when we arrived at reception we were given a warm welcome and instructions and rules. A towel and robe were waiting in the preassigned locker. Thankfully it was a beautiful sunny day and even more thankfully, we arrived early, as there weren't many sunbeds left.
There are various pools outside, and also a couple inside, along with steam rooms, saunas and a serenity room, which has a pool, is very softly lit and offers peace and quiet, as long as people remember to close the doors when they leave.
The rules are pretty simples, no bags by the pool, no reserving sunbeds by leaving towels on and no smoking or e cigs. Staff were very good at removing towels and items from beds, folding them up and putting them on the table. Not so good on the use of e cigs though, as quite a few people were using them. On the whole staff were busy, bringing drinks and removing empty cups and glasses. There are a couple of gripes. The price of drinks is more expensive than The Lounge part of the resort for some reason. And being asked what size of robe you'd need when booking would be a good idea. There are also nowhere near enough sunbeds for the amount of people wanting them. It would have spoilt the day for me if I couldn't get on a sunbed for most of the day. Especially with the cost of the day.
All in all though it was a very relaxing and pleasant day. I probably would go back in a few months time.

In the gym there are not enough classes at 3/4 o’clock for women, there seems to be a gap at that time. Please add more classes

I attended the Spa day with a friend.The facilities are fantastic.
The bar service with Callum and Aimee was outstanding
At 2pm we had a first class meal in Bertrams again with outstanding service from Mima, Alexa and Cynthia.
Overall a great day which I would rate with 5 stars.

Reception where very informative and really friendly as was staying at the hotel for a number of nights. Did eat at the lounge and food and service was great on both occasions. The gym is split via ground floor and a room located upstairs which has plenty of fixed resistance. Also the ground floor has ambulance of cardio machines to choose from. The dumbell area I personally thought was small and was limited in equipment ie no leg press and no Olympic bench apart from a Smith machine. There was a multi station 4 sections and during the 3 visits I went 2 of the stations didn’t have clips so members couldn’t use and I looked around but couldn’t find any which I thought was poor. But overall there’s enough within the gym to have a good workout,

Great staff . Very friendly, helpful and courteous. Excellent facilities which even in these uncertain times are spotless. Went tonight to the pool and staff in changing rooms making sure everything is wiped down . In the lounge where we ate the staff were very attentive and such a friendly atmosphere. The reception desk ... the staff are very friendly and down to earth. Best thing we did was take a membership out . Great to be back . Keep up the good work ... your doing an excellent job.

Booked for 1,30 for fish Friday in the Lounge.
Shown immediately to a nice clean set table for two.
Waitress for drinks arrived straight away for our order along with the menus.
Had time to select ,although we had decided on the ,fish Friday ,offer.
pot of tea and a white duly arrived followed by two huge plates of our main course..
Lovely helping accompanied by tartare sauce. and mushy peas and two small pots of tomato sauce and bread and butter .
Altogether a very enjoyable lunch time in lovely atmosphere.Highly recommended.
