Today we went on a guided tour of this lovely theatre. It was really interesting and felt privileged to see all the original parts that have been preserved so well. I would recommend this to anyone, it really is worth a visit.

As I had a spare hour in Richmond I decided to take the one-hour guided tour of the theatre. It was a facinating exprerience, going behind the scenes of the only unmodernised Georgian theatre in the UK. The guide was very knowledgable abd gave you a real idea of how it would to feel to be in the audience back in the day.

What a great experience, great back story, oldest theatre in UK. Well preserved and well presented. Loves hearing the story and exploring the building. I plan to come back to see a show on stage for the cherry on the cake !

We absolutely loved our tour today. I dragged my friend who isn’t a theatre fan along and he left as enthusiastic as me. Our tour guide (sorry, we didn’t get your name) was funny and informative and we had a great time learning about the history and looking around the building. Posing on the stage and looking underneath the stage at how everything works was a highlight! Great value for money, would highly recommend.

We had a very enjoyable and informative tour round the theatre with a lovely, friendly guide (Meg?) on Friday 10th. The theatre is stunning and the story behind it very interesting. Highly recommended.

This a must see attraction in Richmond, we were had a tour of the theatre (which runs on the hour every hour), it truly is remarkable, the history and the preservation that has taken place, this will not disappoint, my advice is book it and enjoy every step into the 18th century.

Hubby and I visited the theatre to see the pantomime Pinoccio - and we had a brilliant night. We'd never been to this theatre before so didn't know what to expect. The theatre is so small that no-one is far from the stage which was great for the panto. Several members of the cast came out into the audience which meant them almost climbing over us as the seats were so close.
It's a fascinating place which we really enjoyed. Next time perhaps we'll have time to do the guided tour.

Unique theatre offering 1 hour guided tours. Price very reasonable, guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Was told it was the most interesting tourist site in the town and it was. Highly recommended.
