There is at the moment ( until 18 Dec) a splendid exhibition on Thame Mill Laundry. It documents the importance of this local business,no longer in existence, with photographs, interviews of local people, etc. Extremely well researched and visually very well presented. It highlights the social impact these works had on the lives of local women. Highly recommended visit . The permanent collection is also very interesting. Allow plenty of time as there is lots to read and look at!

Fantastic people working in this place. An absolute credit to Thame. Amazing exhibitions and definitely worth visiting again and again. Had an amazing exhibition of Robin Gibbs property as a memorial to 10 years of his passing away.

I thought this was a lovely little museum the staff polite and looked like they really care and liked their job there educational for both adult and children there was also a tribute to robin gibb of the bee gees who lived in the town had a lovely chat with the lady who runs it and also had exhibition on Midsomer Murders were some of the location are filmed excellent a must see museum

Interesting local history with some good items on display. The section that gets changed regularly is often worth a look and the talks they do in the evenings are usually of good quality.

Very interesting museum. Lots to see including a lovely Robin Gibb Tribute Exhibition and also another exhibition celebrating 25 years of Midsomer Murders, Thame is the most filmed location! The volunteers are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Lots of goodies to buy in the Museum Shop plus official Robin Gibb merchandise and Midsomer merchandise on sale too.

The tour guide was very informative and also gave us information on the history of the town. A very enjoyable 1 and 3/4 hours which went very quickly

Well worth a visit to spend an hour or so learning about local history. Free entry, friendly volunteers and worksheets/trails for children. May struggle to hold the attention of the youngest children, but perfect for school age.

Our 9 year old and 6 year old grandchild had a wonderful hour and half in the museum with us. There were some worksheet to complete, once they had found the objects. The witness box was fun as they enacted 'mock' trials, alternating the roles of judge and accused. The dressing up clothes also provide lots of fun, as they pretended to be various characters depending on what they had put on to wear. The staff were so helpful and it was a visit that the children really enjoyed.
