We came to splash landings and thought we would try it out! We’ve been wanting to come here for ages! We travelled just over a hour to come today. We paid £22 each so £66 for the family. First impressions is great. Nice and clean all throughout. Staff are amazing by the way. We went with a 6 year old and personally thought for the £22 each I wouldn’t pay it again due to the distance and timed spent there. We got round the rides quick, also we thoughts the foot options was quite basic. I’d recommend it for a weekend to family’s but personally not for us.

Myself, hubby and two year old went on a Friday which was great as it wasn’t busy at all- no queues for anything!
Parking was free with admission to water park for £17.50 x2 my two year old was free which is great.
Parking close by to the entrance.
Changing rooms were actually not bad at all had single, double and family cubicles all clean not sparkling but clean enough to use same as toilets and showers.
Lockers are small so be sure not to take a big duffle bag like we did. A rucksack will fit easily. You need a 20p coin to use them.
There’s tables, chairs and benches for seating and dining scattered around the park. They could do with sun loungers too.
In the pools there was floats and balls to play with which was nice for our two year old.
Water was a good temperature didn’t feel cold even when we were wet walking round the park.
When we went Costa and snack bar was closed not really sure why however the restaurant was open which is poor to say the least.
Very small menu and only two option for veggies either jacket potato which was bland and quorn nuggets with chips which was also not very good. Expensive but that is expected when you purchase food in a park. They really need to go up their game on food they could do so much more. Restaurant it self was in need of a serious makeover.
The website say “No outside food allowed” however I did take a packed lunch for my two year old which I am glad I did. There was a microwave in the restaurant to use had I had known that I would have took some hot food too.
Many if not most people bought their own lunch and snacks.
You can take pics but not videos as long you are not in the water with ur phones.
We got there at 12 left at 4 when it closed that was more then enough time for splash for my two year old. However if you plan to sit on the rides I would say you need more time there so go earlier.
Overall the park itself was good fun a little need of tlc but nothing major.
Would definitely visit again and recommend for all ages.

Was on of the best waterparks in the UK there was a variety of slide to go on there were heated pools and there was a outdoor area the were food restaurants too and on site accommodation.

We had a fantastic weekend and our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the water park. We hired towels at £2.50 pp. there are plenty of lockers, which require a returnable 20p. The cafe was closed when we stayed so cannot be reviewed

Cheap ingredients, poorly cooked, cold and overpriced.
It’s all quite bland and tasteless and even the fruit juice is completely watered down. Feels greedy when this place is obviously charging what it does for your custom.

The water park was so overcrowded it was unreal. As I was 31 weeks pregnant too trying to navigate with a toddler I actually felt like it was an accident waiting to happen as you couldn’t move 1 foot without someone bashing into you or get to the bottom of slides to safely collect your child. No way would a lifeguard have seen anything dangerous as there were simply far too many people. We were glad to get out of there which is a real shame as with less people it would have been great - they are clearly being greedy!

Good
I think we were lucky as it wasn’t overly busy and other than the master blaster we had a go on everything and really enjoyed it.
The cafe was very basic was priced ok.
Lovely staff
Able to easily get a locker, changing room and hairdryer LS1 (which were free)
Lovely and warm!

Chaos booking in - no queue system, staff member wakes off when we were in the middle of booking in with her!
Lack of signage - the system for getting rings and where to go for the rides thereafter is not clear. There is no sign for rampage and rush until you got upstairs - really unclear
People were holding onto rings but this was ignored by the staff
There was a lack of rings for the lazy river
Jacuzzi was full of toddlers but ignored by the staff despite the ‘no children under 4’ sign I also hurt my foot trying to get in as there is la massive drop onto the step getting in, as did hubby but no warning signage
The changing rooms were filthy as were the toilets. There was someone constantly pushing away the water on the floor in the toilet area but the actually toilet cubicles were disgusting. I went into 4 changing rooms that had nappies left on the floor as well as wristbands, drink cups, wrappers
No ice cream!
The survey they ask you to do on the way out was far far too long. I gave up ……

Great water park now my kids are 8 and 10. We went when they were younger and found it hard work but much easier today.
It’s not for the faint hearted - you will get blasted incessantly and I saw a few people struggling to keep their glasses on. The outdoor area was open today which was good fun but cold when you popped your shoulders up!
My little girl had a fall and cut herself and staff were very helpful.

Splash Landings was included in our break, we had to book our time slot but still had to queue for wristbands, remember your 20p for the locker
Very busy but enjoyable
We thankfully didn't wait an hour for some of the slides as went on straight away.
Loved the slides that take you outside and the rapids where queuing wasn't as bad

My daughter and I took my Granddaughter to Alton Towers for a short break during half term. She is only 4 and the highlight of her stay was waterworld. Unfortunately, after 20 mins of play and returning to the small pool we were alerted to pooh in the pool and saw it on the bottom where we were about to step in. The pool was cleared, naturally, to my Granddaughter's disappointment, however, to her excitement, it reopened soon after. I was slightly surprised by this as my local pool would have been closed full stop. Anyway, we were informed that we could return to the pool. When we got there my Granddaughter jumped straight in and went to play on the slide, she was over the moon! Then me and my daughter spotted broken up lumps of pooh and shredded bits floating all over! We immediately tried to take her out, she was bawling, all she wanted to do was play on the slide. This saw upsetting for us, not only were we in a disgusting pool but we now had a distraught and disappointed child. The pool wasn't cleaned, at a guess, someone has attempted to scoop the poop, were unsuccessful and left it there for kids to swallow!! Great vwork, we'll definitely not be back!

Hi I’m visiting with my little girl 19 months. I’ve heard she can come on the outdoor slides with an adult. Has anyone ever done this with a little one? Will she go under water at the bottom?

I saw quite small children going down the outside slides, probably nearer to 3 years old. The parent went down first and then the child went down after. They wore arm bands and knew to wait for the green light. Signs said about being strong swimmers when entering the out side area, so a bit conflicting. Without arm bands or someone to catch, they would go under. Unsure if they let small children sit on laps. Call alton towers to be sure.
I have bmbeen given a 3pm time slot for the waterpark. Would we be allowed in earlier?
Does anyone know if tshirt over a swimming costume is allowed in the waterpark? Thanks

Same price for all, there is no spectator rate. If you don’t want to pay you can view the Waterpark from the bar in the Splash Landings Hotel.
