Nicer than expected. When you park in the picnic area or long vehicule area you don't hear the falls. There are various walks or loops. The main lookout is impressive. Really good view on the fall.

What a amazing place !! It was a step back in time.. The waterfall was great but obviously would be more impressive in winter..Either way it was definetly worth the visit.

Don’t leave this area without visiting this spectacular waterfall and gorge. Astoundingly beautiful when there is a lot of water going over but still beautiful with a little water going over!

So far, this is the most spectacular waterfall in NSW I've seen. Tall, full, powerful, picturesque... Huge irregular pieces of cliff on the steps of the waterfall add to the picture. Canyon is well worth a mention as well - it is really deep and intricately formed cliffs look surreal. Oxley walking track is well worth the effort for more amazing views. I had no idea such views existed in NSW. Why has I never heard of it?!

The gorge alone is spectacular, there areeasy walking tracks plus a small bridge over the river. I'd recommend visiting here as it's only just off the highway and the road excellent.

This is a real highlight. Who would have thought such a place is so close and accessible for all travellers. Great walks on very well maintained tracks. If you can't walk far you can park right near lookout. The gorge itself just springs our of nowhere and is spectacular. I would definitely recommend stopping here and having a short or long wander.

If you can time your visit sometime after rain, it’s really special. 123 meter drop and some great vantage spots to see it. You can view it from just a few steps away from the parking lot, or walk over the suspension bridge to view it from the far side - about a half hour easy walk. There are picnic tables there too.

The waterfall is sorrounded by well maintained walking trails, lookouts, camping sites & toilets. It is certainly worth a stop over on the way past.

Excellent walk for little ones along the escarpment to see the falls and some nice gorge views - also good bbq and picnic facilities. We’ll worth the drive from Armidale

Wow, we took the odds and went to the Falls in the North just after weeks of torrential rains and floods and were rewarded with a massive flow at Apsley Falls. We parked the car and could hear the deep thunder of the falls and 50m later there we were next to the huge falls - we were both gobsmacked. We then walked around the gorge via a wavering suspension bridge for a view head on from across the massively deep gorge. What a sight - we cannot wait for the waterfall way in a couple of days.

Is it possible to swim here? I would like to visit here later next year, but fear the attraction will be lost on my toddler unless she can have a splash and a paddle
