Stopped to check out the historic building and was very happy with what was to offer. Walking around the building gives you a picture of bygone days. Afterwards there is a wonderful range of locally made crafts and food to take home for souvenirs or give as gifts to friends and family.

An enthusiastic host showed us around this historic house from 1880. Simple and pointed look at an historic architectural site in Warialda. The building is authentic as the day of construction.

Was driving through Warialda on a Saturday morning and chanced on a small though busy market in front of historic Carinda House. It was a great opportunity to pick up some delicious home-made treats. Another treat was in store when I was told the old weatherboard house (circa 1880) was open and was encouraged to have a look around. The house is three storeys if you include the basement 'stump room', which also houses a room that records the details of the sons of Warialda who sailed off to WW l, including personal histories and photos. As well as being a poignant reminder of the great sacrifices involved, it represented a very impressive piece of research.
The ground floor is mainly devoted to displays of local arts and crafts (for sale) while the upper level include some beautifully restored rooms including a nursery, a bedroom and a lounge/dining room, all lovingly decorated in the style of a hundred years ago. The house's restoration really does speak volumes for the spirit and hard work of the local community.
