HIGHLY RECOMMEND Four of us toured this amazing house and we all enjoyed it. We ranged from someone who loves Frank Lloyd Wright's work to someone who thought he'd have no interest, but who ended up being the most intrigued and impressed.
The house and furnishings were made all the more interesting by Maddy, our marvelous guide. She knew a lot about the large concepts of Wright's work as well as the details, and added information about how the Westcott's lived in the house. She made the tour educational and fun.

Great trip. We arrived at approximately 1:30 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the visitor center. We bought our tickets ahead of time on their website, as they do tend to sell out periodically. The tour started with a quick introductory video about the house. After watching the video, we followed the tour guide to the entrance of the house and began the tour. The tour guide was quite informative and took us from room to room, while pointing out interesting features. There were many original pieces of furniture located throughout the house. The house was beautifully built and there was a lot of thought put into its creation. The guided tour lasted roughly 1.5 hours. After exploring the house, we made our way back into the visitor center where there was a small gift shop and restrooms.
Tip: I recommend spending 2 hours here if you truly want to see everything.

Lovely place! We had a great trip to Westcott House, great tour with lively guide. So glad I got to visit Springfield, also visited the nice library nearby.

This is a classic Frank Lloyd Wright House perfectly restored . Our guide was wonderful - very knowledgeable and full of interesting insights and facts. The entire town of Springfield is beautiful with amazing history and friendly residents. I would highly recommend a visit!

Another Frank Lloyd Wright treasure hidden right here in beautiful Springfield Ohio. The tale of this architectural marvel is one worth hearing- our docent was thorough and fun. I can't believe it was a rental property once!! The house is smaller than I expected and right in the middle of a neighborhood- like "oh look that's a Frank Lloyd Wright house next door". We are lucky it is open to the public to see it and experience the building today. While in Springfield- don't miss the antique scene- it's a wow too.

Gorgeous house - but then it is FLW so it couldn't be anything but. Interior has been faithfully and excellently redone after suffering the indignity of being chopped into 4 apartments.

Excellently restored Frank LLoyd Wright designed home of the Wescott family. As all his homes it is a one of a kind home. This home is one of his 50 prairie style (organic) homes he painstakingly designed. Parking is right next to the house and the gift shop was well curated. Tour guide (Steve) was very good.

The city raised money to purchase and renovate the historic Frank Lloyd Wright building, Westcott family home that had also been used as an apartment for a period of time. It was my first time getting to tour a Wright home so I was very excited, and this did not disappoint! The docent was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing all the details of the rich history of the home and neighborhood. It’s great that they were able to save this wonderful architecture from ruin to share and teach future generations.

This house is a treasure. I'm not even a huge Wright fan, but this house is gorgeous and the guides are engaged and knowledgeable. Ask them any questions! Don't miss the video on the restoration of the house and all of the time and work that went into it. Visit the gardens if you can.

The house is stunning and it was a real treat to see this lovingly restored gem. the tour, however, seemed interminable! So many stories about past visitors, when what we really wanted was to see the house!

can the tour(s) accommodate up to 56 people by splitting them into different groups?

Hi! Monday is the only day that we are closed! We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. Guided tours this season are every hour on the hour. Please visit our website for more information. We hope you visit us!

Our docent-guided one-hour tours are offered Tuesday through Sunday. We lead tours every hour on the hour Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. The admission is $15, $12 for seniors, AAA members and students.
Our schedule changes slightly November through April when we offer three tours a day during the week (Tuesday through Friday at 11am, 1pm, 3pm). The weekend hours and tours are identical throughout the year. More information is available on our website.

The main floor of the house and the garage are wheelchair accessible (our store, video viewing area, and a wheelchair accessible restroom is located in the garage). The second floor of the house is not wheelchair accessible. Most of the guests using wheelchair choose to relax in the main area of the house while a docent takes the rest of the group upstairs. We welcome visitors who use a wheelchair on our tours - we advise to call ahead so we can make sure we have a staff member or volunteer available to assist with moving between the garage and main house.
