Food was OK. Service and production of food was glacially slow even though it was 2:30 on a Monday and very few customers. Prices were OK. The restaurant was visually cute but the owner should take a look at why the kitchen is so slow for basics like a caesar salad (me) and a burger (daughter).
Hawthorn is a great place to shop and people watch but be forewarned, all the restaurants close at 2 and their last customers they serve are 1:45 which is why we ended up at McMenamins Bagdad.

Interesting bohemian type of architecture; not your typical pub atmosphere, located in an historic building & theater.
I ordered their pepperoni pizza with jalapeno peppers. It was spicy but not overly so. Delicious & one of the better pizzas I've had. Friendly service & good drinks, too.

we hadn't been to the pub for awhile and did so for lunch during the hawthorne street fair yesterday...masked up, we sat outdoors....i had a ruby, and my partner had a rubinator...next, i had the dilly tunna sandwich with salad, and she had the jr jumbo deluxe with hammerhead garden patty/salad...the food and drink were great....the staff was real nice and quick...she was so funny and friendly...be sure to tip big during covid...thx so much!

Since we are Tripsters, my wife and I visited this spot to get yet another stamp, along with a movie (Joker). We had a good time. Very relaxing.

I just want to say a big thank you to the Bagdad for being so great and playing Blinded by the Light, it was such a wonderful feel good movie and a nice change from all the Marvel type movies.
The service here is always so friendly, I look forward to the popcorn because they don't use that chemical oil weirdness but a coconut oil base with real butter and it's GOOD. Love having food delivered to me up on the balcony.

We were a group of five window shopping along Hawthorne and figured we would try this restaurant for lunch. The place was almost empty. I guess because it was a week day. We had the BBQ chicken pizza, bacon cheddar burger, the baja chicken chili lime sandwich with salad and gluten free bun, the spinach artichoke dip, soup and pretzel sticks. Everything was good and staff were friendly. My only complaint with all McMenamins restaurants is that they should start offering sweet potato fries on all their menus. For those of us who can't eat regular fries because of allergies.

We able to get five passport stamps while in the Hawthorne area of Portland since all properties are on one black. Although it was Sunday we struggled to find parking. Also, you have to purchase theatre tickets to get the stamp (and remember to get the “ramblings” stamp). The food was standard, tasty Mcmenamins fare. We were able to people watch during lunch brought to mind the “keep Portland weird” tag! Unfortunately, there were homeless people in doorways nearby so be aware when it is dark; sad.

I have to say it's been over 30 years since I've been to the Baghdad. but this is one of my favorite places now that McMenamins has refurbished this cool theater. You have to check out the backstage Pub is very cool, come and play shuffleboard or a game of pool.

This is a great place to hang out and eat!
The roof top has great views and is a fun place to have drinks as well as food!
We has breakfast at the bar first floor and it was fantastic. I had the Crunchy French Toast! Best one ever.
