We have been taking our children and now grand children crabbing at this location for many years. Most recently everything was as expected. The crabs we have been catching recently have been too small to keep but the kids really love bringing them up even if we have to throw them back. We purchased a couple of crabs when we were done to take home to eat. A Great time!!

We have been here twice in the past few months. They have great crab and oysters, which they will cook for you while you wait. Great spot on the Nehalem River by the jetty of course.

Stopped by for some crab , ended up being stuck 2 hrs here, the employees kept mixing up the orders, was hard with kids, not kid friendly, plus it was cold that day, so not a good experience, would not go back.

We visited this marina with no previous planning, and the staff helped us get set up to crab for the day. We had so much fun and will most definitely return again.

Saw the sign for crab and pulled in. This is a great place to get some fresh crab or other items. They have crabbing off the piers also and contests for kids to catch crabs. Cool spot

Me and my wife were just here to do some cabbing. We did have a fun time as we had both never done this before. However we, and everybody else, on the docks, had “bad luck” getting any “keepers.” So after a couple hours of trying without luck and with our bait having mostly all gone to feeding all the little crabs, we decided to go clam digging .We were told that this was the “back up” if you don’t get any crabs. After digging in sand for over an hour we had a nice looking pile and we were looking forward to going back to the docks to cook up our catch. When we got to the cooker we were told at this time that clams need to be “purged” overnight and we could grab them tomorrow... we came in from Portland so that was not an option.
So we ended up not getting crabs or clams or anything else for that matter, we even let them have our catch of clams that they will be able to sell tomorrow. We were offered to buy crabs that they had caught earlier in the day at a fairly high rate (especially since we had already paid 60$ to fish with the option of getting our catch cooked for us for free, this included 2 shellfishing licenses that we only found out we needed to get once we arrived).
I would not recommend this place. And if you do go, do not go hungry.
So we ended up not getting crabs or clams or anything else for that matter, we even let them have our catch of clams that they will be able to sell tomorrow. When you stop in here you'll drive down the hill and park to the right.. a small store but has quite a few little things in it some are kind of eclectic and fun ....but the best part of this place is not only the small Bay out front but the fresh crabs, muscles, oysters and anything else I believe they can scrounge up out of the water in front of where they're at we had some crab and a couple pounds of steamer clams the clams were absolutely wonderful pulled right out of the steam play tadhana of Trey and eaten within a couple of minutes they will not only pick out great crab for you they'll cook it clean it give it to you to eat there or put it on ice into plastic bags so you can put it in the car and take it home we were down there for a week and stopped in here to get our crab and are Steamers absolutely excellent place the two guys that are working there are great make sure you ask for Einstein he's a great guy a good cook and we'll get you what you need definitely a place to stop in I know there are several places along the road but the locals as well as when we were there found out this place is great the people there are super Stop get some fresh seafood and chat about what's going on in the community.....

You can rent boats or drop traps right off the dock. Or you can just enjoy the funky set up and pick out a couple crabs for dinner. They will cook and clean them for you on the spot. Fresh crab for dinner! Worth a visit even if you just want to look around.

I'm not sure what attracted all of the other reviewers to this place. I headed to this place expecting all of the things that were described in the reviews and just couldn't figure it out! It's kind of a throwback hippie place with a few camp sites that do sit on some grass overlooking the inlet but there is only water and electricity...I was afraid to check out the bathrooms but I don't think there were any showers. They don't take reservations so you may show up and have nowhere to park and if you do stay...it's more than $50/night (nicer places in the area are less expensive with FULL hook-ups and showers). And....totally NOT pet friendly. They won't even let your pet on the beach?? They said that "the beach is for children"??
They have an outdoor cooker to cook your fresh crab but it's very basic and expensive to do nothing but give you a cooked crab you have to clean and crack open yourself on a paper plate and a picnic table.
They have a small store and the lady inside was not very friendly. They rent boats but its expensive. For a hippie place....they charge a bunch of money when you can go down the road and do better...cleaner...nicer....cheaper....which we did!!
