Our two granddaughters came here with their young grandma. The little one went on the pony ride, and the other was on the horse ride. The workers were friendly and helpful.
The only negative was an aggressive push for tips. There is a big sign for it, and then they send an email after to ask for a generous tip.

Racist employees for sure!!! This place is super terrible!!! Terrible attitude! Horrible service! The lady in the front was rude and racist! My horse was very unsettled and I was very uncomfortable riding it so I asked for another horse; she told me she didn’t have another horse for me to ride and the one I was with had to go out now, but 5 seconds later a couple came and she place them on two other horses in that were very gentle. They then proceeded to leave without me and the horse they said had to go out now was left behind as I was. It was the last ride of the day so the horse that had to go out didn’t, they just told me that and it was a lie. There is something wrong with the fact that they passed me up and gave the gentle horses to the people right behind me. Terrible customer service, no offer to come back another time or refund, zero, they just told me that was it, and not even a goodbye or anything knowing that this was my birthday no sympathy or consideration at all!! The owner just walked away ignoring us!! Fuming mad at this type of service. If you have a choice of places to ride horses, this is not the one. Unbelievable!!

Excellent experience ! My daughters were both a little nervous & they did so well! Horses were nice & followed closely as trail horses do. Our guide was excellent !

For a basic trail riding experience, it was very good. The well-worn trail through the woods is lovely. The process of saddling the horses, giving brief instructions to riders, and leading the ride through the woods on the trail is well run, clearly repeated in the same way day in and day out.
Good experience.
One thing that soured it a bit, though, was the unexpected and effectively aggressive solicitation for tips added to the experience.
First, there is a prominent sign encouraging tipping.
Next, the ride ends with the leader instructing that you ought to tell your horse they did a good job with a pat, and tell staff at the stable that they did a good job by leaving a tip. But in case you missed it, there is even a follow-up email after you go home asking if you would like to send a tip.
This is not just having a tip jar or sign, not even just the following up personally, but following up again even after you've left, as a matter of course and expectation.
So... know that this is a place that offers trail rides on a nice trail through the woods , run well as a stable should be with all of the normal protocol. Know also that this is a business that either chooses to pay its valuable employees restaurant server wages, or it's another that has simply decided to exploit our increasingly out-of-control tipping culture. (Which part of what your employees do as a matter of course is extra, above-and-beyond a typical trail ride experience, not something that is simply an essential, expected part of working to run trail rides?) Please, please, just openly post fees that you think are fair and enable you to run a business, so people can decide if they can afford it and if it's worth it to them to even come, and then let it be. Most of us do things for others in the course of our work, often for very low pay, and there is no expectation whatsoever that we are tipped. It's getting exhausting.

Overall, a very nice experience, the trail guides were very friendly and helpful.
The ride was about 45 minutes through some nice pine forest, wish it was longer.

Had a lovely trail ride at Mountain Creek Riding Stables, wish I would have booked a longer private ride! Sasha our guide was great and friendly taking my last minute same day booking. Staff was friendly and gave us a quick overview of basics before got on our horses. I don't think the reviews giving only 1 Star because of the weight limit is fair to the business, it states clearly on the website they have weight restrictions! Please think of the horses before complaining.

very upset with the service provided here. me and my boyfriend made a whole trip revolving around us going horseback riding the final day. we arrive after we already had paid online, filled out the waivers and then one of the staff completely called me out in front of everyone asking how much i weighed and said that i couldn’t go and there would be no refund. mind you i am only 5 pounds over the weight limit (250 lb)

Speaking from personal experience as a trail guide - this stable offers an amazing experience. All the staff is friendly, helpful and each of them go out of their way to provide a safe and enjoyable ride on the trails. All visitors receive personal care and coaching for the duration of their time on the trails. Management is amazing as well, they treat all staff (and visitors) with respect and gratitude. All of the horses are well cared for and shown appreciation for the hard work they do on daily basis. Book a trail ride, wagon ride or special event - I’m confident you will find time spent with the staff and the horses amazing!

Staff was rude. The staff was loud and yelling the entire time of the horse back ride. The most unprofessional group I have ever seen in any business. We made back-to-back private ride reservations and the staff would not accommodate our request after charging our credit card the full amount. Refused to give a refund. Total criminals.
