An interesting little tour, guided by the young man who had served us breakfast earlier that morning.
The tour of the battlement, chapel and the garder robes is included free for all hotel guests and takes place at 10.15am every day and lasts approx 45 minutes. The last 15 minutes is a video in the chapel, which we didn't stay to watch as our little baby was getting restless.

The guide was extremely knowable and the tour was excellent. Great view from the battlements, even though it was raining.

After breakfast each day, one of the staff take any interested guests on a 30 minute tour of the castle, explaining the history. A lovely end to a wonderful stay

This takes around 45 minutes including the video and gives you a fascinating insight into the castle and the local area.

We really looked forward to this tour which takes place every day. On arrival at the Castle they tell you about the tour which takes place at 10.15 am and lasts for about 40 minutes. Just the ticket for history buffs.

The battlement tour is well worth doing for the views and the history. It is informative and interesting. I recommend highly this hotel and its tour.

Complimentary when staying at the castle; but worth doing even on a day visit in the area and paying modest fee. Clear day recommended. Views and location exceptional.

Very interesting tour by one of the hotel staff, if you stay at the hotel you will be booked on automatically, it's worth a walk after breakfast and the history is genuinely interesting.

Tales of the castle's history for over 900 years both external and internal. The abundance of garderobes are worth a view alone.

Well worth the visit. You have to listen carefully to the commentary to ensure you get the full benefit, luckily the film is subtitled.
