Easy hike!

Enjoyed a lovely walk around the perimeter - about 3 miles. Loved the signs with information about the area and the spillway and other things we were seeing. Lots and lots of birds on the water and in the trees. Also saw 2 magnificent bucks and several does.

groen tussen de snelwegen

Het park is oké voor een korte wandeling, mooi groen maar verder niet veel bijzonders. Het meer was bijna niet te zien door de enorme begroeiing.
Wat wij heel teleurstellend vonden was dat je overal waar je liep de snelwegen om je heen hoorde, daardoor hadden we niet het gevoel in de natuur te zijn.
Wij waren op een maandag dus het visitor centre was gesloten.

Nice walking trail

This small park feels like you are out in the country but it is right outside of Harrisburg. It has a towpath and a boardwalk for walking and seeing nature.

Privacy not there

The guys who live in here infringe on your privacy. I mean, the people who call this park home will not give you any privacy at all. And smells of urine. Botanists will be happy here. We were just not impressed.

Easy Nature trails

You would not even know you were in a city, except for the far off sounds of cars. The park is so peaceful and serene. The trails are easy, especially the boardwalk by the water. There are some art displays along the one trail that are just as enjoyable to view as the nature and wildlife.

Great park for a walk and bird watching

We needed to get out of the car and decided to stop to do a walk. We hiked all around the park and it was beautiful. There is lots of bird watching opps here and we will return with binoculars on our next trip. It is very peaceful and beautiful and not far from the highway so easy to stop and then continue onward.

Nice place to walk

This is a great place to walk and enjoy the pond and wooded areas. There are some hills on the backside so you can gets some good cardio. It is part paved and part gravel. Strollers wouldn’t be a problem. There is a decent amount of parking at the entrance and also up by the visitors building. There is a restroom at the entrance.

Wildwood park has the best nature experience as well as relaxation for the mind. You’ll see birds turtles and even might see a snake!

For me, I love coming here to photograph birds. There are so many different types. On top of that, there are other animal species.

The trails are also nice for walking.
