Was ripped off. horrible experienced. I had made a reservation but when I arrived, they told me nothing was included and that I had pay just for the time slot. I have been going there for almost a decade and had never reserved anything. Turns out that they charged me for the package I got online and the guns I used that day. Rip off. Do not waste your time or money here.

30 bullets for $100 gone in less than 10 seconds. They didn’t show us the price until checkout and they still asked for tip. Also $15 per person for plastic eye protection and ear plugs. Wayy too overpriced

This experience was amazing.....a little expensive, but totally worth it. It can be as expensive or as inexpensive as you want it to be. It just depends on what you want to shoot, and how much ammunition you use. They have a whole arsenal of weapons...even a grenade launcher! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and safe. Our trainer was ELLIE! Loved her!! She was so great! Will definitely be doing this again!

We had booked the VIP program. It was expensive, but it was a birthday present, my husband loved it. We had 2 instructors Antonio and Connor who were very informative and friendly. We were there maybe a little over an hour.

Stop ripping off local people. I was at your range today, with my own shotgun and ammo, registered online as suggested and paid $20. I made it clear I would only shoot 1 box of ammo to test my gun. One machine was disabled, I was there less than an hour. Total price for this bad experience was $69. I have shot in competition and pleasure up and down the east coast and have never been ripped off. The shooting community is an honorable one, not like I experienced today. I will be telling my shooting friends of this experience.

We had an amazing time at Sunset. Everyone was very welcoming. Our instructor was super excited to take care of us. He took his time explaining each gun to my 15 year old son and made him very comfortable since this was his first time at the range. Each group receives a personal instructors which is also a plus. We also loved the fact that it is an outdoor range. Thank you Sunset we will be back soon. Lastly, I recommend reservations and signing the waive online before you go. It made it super easy.

A great place to go for newbies and rookies.
Sunset Hill is a clean, well-run and safe environment with friendly, personable and informative staff.
Our instructor Ryan was perfect for a family of first-time Brits. He was friendly and relaxed whilst maintaining safety at all times.

We visited in August, on a weekday late morning. We are a family of four and only one of us had any experience shooting. We have a mixed age group 10, 14 and two parents. The 10-year old was able to shoot airport guns and they had a good selection. My teenager was able to shoot most things, except for handguns. The instructor was patient and gave suggestions about which guns were best for each of us to try. I found everyone there friendly and overall it was a good experience for the whole family.
The one suggestion I have for bigger groups/ families is to book more than one slot so that you can have an additional instructor with your group and more than one person can be shooting at a time. For our family one person at a time was OK so that we could watch the kids shoot.

Visiting in town and decided to booked a lane the day prior to go to the range in the morning. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to rush my dog to the emergency vet an hour away the morning I booked for. I had a 10:30 am appointment and called promptly at 10 am , when they opened, to see if I can reschedule. They were completely unhelpful. I was told that I would lose my deposit if I could not come today. I explained my situation and got no where. I asked if I could switch the deposit to the next day because I still wanted to go and was told no. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager and general manager were too busy to talk to me and they would try to call me the next day. The person Justin, I spoke to on the phone, was uneducated on the facility and how things work. I told them that I was from out of town and was leaving the next day and needed to speak with someone today. Still got no where. After finally getting a call back (over 24 hours later) I found out that walk-ins did not need to give a deposit and I could go anytime. That is not what I was told by Justin when I spoke to him the day prior. Basically they have no courtesy for emergency circumstances and horrible customer service! Very rude and unprofessional!! Train your employees better.

We traveled from “The Peoples Republic of New Jersey” to enjoy shooting. This was our first time there. The staff was really nice, the facility is really good.

It depends on the type of guns you choose and the amount of rounds you purchase for each gun. You also need to pay a base fee and for the rental of the ear protectors. We were 4 people and chose 2 guns each with the minimum number of rounds for each gun. They give you a menu to choose from so there are no surprises when it comes time to pay. We were there for about an hour and a half. We paid about $100 for everything. It was well worth it. The instructor was great and I felt very safe.

I don't think there's other way. Since the site is pretty remote, there's no public transportation around that I saw.

Is it possible to get there from NYC without a car?

I don't believe so. I went up there and stayed at a hotel for 2 nights and it was about a 7 minute drive to the range on the back roads. There are buses that will get you to the hotels up there but then you would probably need to take a taxi the rest of the way

Can husband and I bring own firearms and ammo for handguns and can we bring own skeet and shotgun? How long are sessions and price.

If you want to bring your own firearms you will be charged for a 1 year membership (around $30) and you will then be ask to show that you are proficient (safe) with whatever you bring. They divide firearms into the 3 basic classes, pistols (handguns), rifles & shotguns, and they will ask that you show proficiency in each class you would like to shoot.
As for bringing your own skeet (clay pigeons), I don't know why you would bother, their prices are very reasonable for skeet and they would most likely prefer that only their birds are launched from their equipment.
As Laura C stated, if you have additional questions it would be best to call.
