Worst venue we ever saw. The parking was horrible with no traffic control, people told us they were forced into a lot a mile a way. Trying to navigate from your seats to the bathroom was a chore, the beer line and exit were in the same spot, insane. Oh yeah, the beer line was at least 50 people deep at all 4 of the $10.00 beer concessions. 30 minutes for a beer. The merch lines were longer than we ever saw at any show. Will never go here again..

Put signs in place that if you walk 3ft outside of a gate that is very hard to see you are not allowed to re-enter. **put them on the inside not on the outside**

Getting into and out of this stadium is terrible. takes like 4 hours as there was no police directing traffic after the concert

A much better stadium than I remember from my youth. Plenty of restrooms, great concessions plus the artificial field itself is flawless. Great place to visit or play

This was my second attempt to see the Backstreet Boys, and thankfully THEY added a show to the end of their tour so people could try to come back after the horrifying nightmare of the first attempt in August. During that attempt, we took a FOUR HOUR walking journey through lightning, mud, loose rock, and an open field with transformers being hit by lightning. They attempted to say a storm "appeared just as they took the stage", but the many thousands who posted on the stadium's official page all knew the storm was coming for well over an hour. They were letting people in without even checking huge backpacks and making everyone throw their umbrellas away into a huge pile. They closed ALL the doors to get onto the field except for ONE on each side, making a human choke point and getting people crushed and slammed into the metal gates that line the sides. After almost 2 hours on foot, the BSB took the stage for 1 song and they cut their sound and Hershey came over the air and said to evacuate. It took another 2 hours to make it back to the field with lightning, torrents of rain and they made everyone pour out the beer and drinks they had bought moments before, but they were sure to have plenty of ponchos for sale (thinner than grocery store bags and $5 each)

Last night, things were much improved, although hundreds posted on the site that they had to sell their tickets (it was summer for the first one, school was back and vacations lost, unable to be repeated, it was sad). I thoroughly realize that an outdoor stadium cannot control the weather. However, the storms were coming hours in advance and it would have saved a lot of problems, fear and madness if they just would have postponed it during the first violent storm and the hour long approach of the other one.

During the concert last night, I smelled cigarette smoke continuously. People vaped openly and nothing was done. I'm still coughing a day later. If you read my reviews, I am very open and honest and this was just an aging stadium barely surviving above water. I give the floor staff a lot of compliments and at the security gates and getting people to their seats, but after that, we were on our own, but the weather cooperated and people were happy and enjoying themselves, which was a changed situation.

I will always be sure to avoid this venue at all costs. It was well after midnight after we got out of the poorly organized parking lot. We only saw one employee during the entire exiting process, leaving everyone to fend for themselves.

I attended a concert here a few weeks ago and while the concert was great, the actual organization was a mess. It took a little over half an hour to drive down one road to park. The free parking puts you in the woods about a mile walk back to the stadium. Thankfully we weren’t trying to buy concert merchandise because for 35,000 people they only had one merchandise stall open... then after the concert they were telling everyone who wasn’t waiting for merch to leave, which is fair, but then asking parents waiting for their kids in line to leave and wait outside of the stadium in the dark? Uncalled for. Then we began our 20 minute walk back to the car. The concert ended at 11. Our car had no room to move until a little after 1 so just prepare for a looooong wait to leave the parking lot. Also be prepared to walk part, through, and around moving vehicles because there will be absolutely no one directing traffic after an event and so the parking lots descend into chaos. Great concert though.

First, this review is of the facilities and not the concert itself. (The Jonas Brothers were fabulous!!) Getting to the stadium took 45 mins (when normal it’s 15). This was due to no one directing traffic. No one. Anywhere. Even once in the parking lot, there was one person pointing to a row, but she didn’t seem to know what she was doing.

The stadium itself was fine. Nothing fancy, but it was a perfect evening and the concert was great.

THEN....leaving! Oh. My. Goodness!! Now I understand why people park 2 miles away and walk in! It literally took us 2 HOURS to get out of the parking lot. Again. NO ONE WAS DIRECTING TRAFFIC! As we were leaving the lot, we saw 10 people together with flashlights and orange vests, but they were talking to each other and not doing anything. I am sure there were others that it took them 3+ hours to exit. That is ridiculous!!

Hershey needs to take pointers from other large venues and actually implement traffic control. It does not have to be like this! What makes me sad is that it left us with a sour taste at the end of an otherwise great evening. I am imagining artists will wise up and stop using facilities that don’t take care of their fans.

Yesterday we attended the BNL/Hootie concert. Our seats were c5 18-22, 5 rows back from the stage. One member of our group used the restroom towards the end of the show and the ushers prohibited him, and everyone else, from returning to their seat. During the last 6 songs, he had to stand at the end of row, looking at his chair 6 seats down. He was unable to enjoy the end of the show w the rest of our family. When you pay $150/ticket, you expect to sit in your seat for the entire show. Once Hootie started playing, they literally stopped everyone from going directly to their seats located in the front of the stage, from the front. So stupid. Sent everyone to the back and down the center aisle, regardless of where the seat was in the row. People were incredulous.
We had to empty our water bottle into plastic cups before entering the seating area... exchanging plastic for more plastic without a lid. Wasteful and illogical.
Staff and ushers are rude, and the procedures do not honor the customer experience. Facilities are outdated, and do not support the number of people in the stadium. Expect to wait a long time for restrooms, food and drinks. The entry was tolerable... the exit was horrific.
Parking... don’t even get me started. We were 3 hours early and still had to park in general parking for the amusement park, behind the chocolate factory. The park and stadium ended at the same time, so the exit was long, long lines.
That was the first and last time at this venue for a concert. It’s never a good feeling to spend that much money to have the experience diminished by the employees.

I went to the KISS concert last Wednesday with my 2 brothers, it was the first concert I ever went to at Hersheypark Stadium. As I had been to Hersheypark, and Chocolate world many times before, I was already aware of the parking lot. If you don't get there early, you will end up walking up to a half a mile. They do have a tram that runs around if you don't want to walk, but it's always packed. Anyway, once you get through the security lines, which only took about 10 minutes, you go inside. This is an old stadium built back in 1939, so it was kind on neat to see it. We had seats on the bleachers, not bad seats, but didn't cost an arm & a leg either. I wish I would have taken a small padded cushion, though. Just a warning, DO NOT get tickets for further back on the field. You will be STANDING UP for the entire concert, or you won't be able to see anything. I was in section 29, row DD. I would have liked to been closer, but. We didn't waste any money on the food or beer, we ate before we got there, and there was no way I's pay $9 for a 16 oz. can of beer!
All in all, KISS put on a hell of a show, it was worth the minor discomforts to see it. My last advice would be to leave a bit early, before all the main crowd, or you will be waiting 1-2 hours to get out of that parking lot!! The parking lot is the worst thing about this place.

I came here on 21 August for the KISS concert. Everyone was waiting outside the stadium for a long time before they allowed us to go through security. I read reviews where people complained about being herded like cattle and honestly I felt the same way, the staff weren’t very friendly and yelled at us a lot. It was hot, humid, and storm clouds were threatening rain which made me worry the concert would be cancelled. I came all the way from Michigan so that would be a disaster.
Once we passed through security we waited at least another 20 minutes (maybe more) outside the gates for who knows what reason.
I had tickets near the stage area (Section B) and was surprised to find old, uncomfortable, plastic chairs to sit on. People that weren’t seated in the field area were on the bleachers, I can’t imagine how uncomfortable that must have been to sit on for the entire concert.
Thankfully the storm clouds passed with just a little light rain for a few minutes. I read that concerts have been cancelled before due to the weather which is very inconvenient. The only part protected from rain is the stage area.
The concert started over an hour late but was such an amazing performance! My only complaints are that if you have a tall person in front of you then you won’t be able to see much as there are no different levels in the field area. Also people from behind kept pushing the plastic chairs forward which squeezed me in and made moving around rather uncomfortable.
Hersheypark Stadium is probably my least favourite place that I’ve watched a concert from.
