I've eaten here many times before with no problems but tonight service was terrible. We were one of the first to order food but the kitchen fed the band first. Waited an hour and a half for food no communication or apologies.

Doorstaff did not like black people. All of our white counterparts got let in apart from us. Severely disappointed for this to be happening in 2022

Warm welcoming Gathering spot.
We attended the Club on a May Day celebration of workers & allies.
We received a warm welcome and we were able to sample the real ales and enjoyed the lively discussion about Politics.
The Kitchen was closed on this day because of the celebration but in past visits the food was excellent.
This town is one of the highlights of our 7 week trip around the UK and we would like to stay there longer next time.

brilliant discovery. music venue small and intimate.

I have only visited this venue once but I'm sure it won't be the last time. Set in the glorious town of Hebden Bridge, the venue provides a cosy & intimate setting for an eclectic variety of acts. I had the pleasure to witness Johnny Osbourne, a veteran Reggae artist who had ventured over from Jamaica & was only playing a handful of selected gigs in the UK. The fact that the Trades Club was one of the chosen few is probably testimony to this venue. The sound was first class & a sell out crowd loved every minute. Unlike most music establishments I have been to, the hand pulled real ale was an added plus.

A scruffy 80's student union type place full of old hippy and past it staff, obviously all Corbynite supporters still pissed off at Labour's election massacre as a more miserable set you would be hard to find.
Went to see a concert and the door system was a joke with a geriatric x prison screw type women who was rude agressive and stupid.
The whole place was filthy the toilets a health hazard and the beer was foul.
Totally over rated hole run by lefty hippies in a mucky time warp. Sad and pathetic - don't waste your time or money.

Came here for a seated gig which we enjoyed very much. Drinks were not expensive and the club was nothing fancy but had a nice intimate atmosphere.

We saw Nick Harper at the Trades Club, in April...our first visit. It was a seated gig, with less than 100 capacity ( would be more, if standing), so the atmosphere was cosy & intimate. The sound was perfect. Not good, but perfect!
There is a bar, and also food available at the Trades, although we ate elsewhere on that occasion. Access is via stairs, and the doors are slightly narrow, but these are minor problems...I look forward to my next visit :)

Love this place and they have some awesome bands / music events all year round.
It's a bit rough round the edges but always a good crowd and great atmosphere.
Thoroughly recommend the place if you're in town visiting

Hi. I'm due to visit the trades club for a gig shortly (first time). I'm travelling 100 miles and would like to know the nearest decent pub to meet a mate and nearest parking too. Thanks for your advice.

Park at the station, 5min walk to venue and the trades club bar is a great meeting place, you can not get any closer and they serve a good selection of proper ales.
