lovely park walk in the sun very well maintained what a shame when you have to use the public toilets theres one near children's playground needs a refurb no doors on the ladies and the mens isnt great the other toilets are near the cafe thats not much better why cant they put attendants on msybie a small charge to recoup there wages

Very nice park.

When on a visit this Sunday. Very clean and the gardens and plants were nice. The glasshouse and observatory were being done up and will be lovely when finished. A boating lake with cafe was very busy and I noticed a lot of statues of local people in this park. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful park.

First time visit to this park. I was amazed at how clean and tidy it was. There where a few statue's of local people in the park and a lovely lake with a busy cafe at the side of it. There where a couple of buildings that look like they were being renovated, and when completed they will look good. All in all a beautiful park and well worth a visit. A credit to oldham council.

Very well maintained park

Alexandra Park is very extensive and very well maintained. There are a good number of the original features and restoration of the glasshouse and observatory are ongoing. A great place for a walk, with a good (currently takeaway) cafe.

Beautiful park

Alexandra Park is a large, beautifully presented park, not too far from Oldham centre. The gardeners obviously take great care with all the colourful flower beds and lawns. It has tennis courts, a bowling green, playground, lake and cafe. Highly recommended for a lovely walk

Midweek ice cream treat

I’m not local to the area but Visiting Alexander Park with my under 5 grandchildren was absolutely delightful.
Our visit was centred on the Ice Cream Cafe, Lakes and Playground Area.
Everything we used and looked at was really lovely. Well done to the staff at Oldham Parks department for making our visit special.

Wonderful park with plenty to see and do

My 15mth old son and I had a wonderful time at this park.
It is quite a large park, very picturesque and the paths are wide and covered, with good signage too.

There is a lot to see and do, with plenty of variety as well. From an observatory, two large ponds with fountains, boathouse, conservatory, pavilion gardens and plenty of statues. if you wanted some off the track routes there are two areas including Donnelly's hollows but only accessible via steps. For the sports minded there is a bowling green and tennis courts too.

The grassy areas and gardens are well tendered and look after, even during this pandemic period. The boathouse is well signed and easy to follow and have a wide range of food and drinks. There are plenty of ducks and animals too.

Whether you are local, or further afield i would definitely recommend this park for a wander or spend all day with a picnic. Plenty of parking too and I would recommend to park in one of the two parks on Kings Rd.

Have a good walk have a small stroll, this park is a credit to the parks department.
I have been going to this park for 60years and it has never looked better, apart from the boats on the lake. I recommend for a nice gentle stroll summer or winter.

I have been to this park from being a little girl. My son does and and husband do the park run here every weekend. they have beautiful walks and a lovely park.
Lovely little cafe with lovely staff.
