South Shore - wonderful golden beach.

The sun shone. The beach was golden. Walked for miles in to Brid & back along to Fraisthorpe. Caught the land train one way (ticket included in price of parking). Was good fun - people waving as we drove past.
Weather turned & started to rain as sun went down. I donned my wetsuit & went for quick swim. Very refreshing.
Lovely golden, sandy beach. Good to be back!

Wild waves and lovely walk

Loved it here. Wild waves and cheap arcades for the children to play at. We enjoyed the slushes from the beach fair and although October small fair rides like trampolines open ! :)

Nice tidy beach!

Nice clean beach, litter free and with areas restricted to dogs in the holiday season. Precious few shells, mainly mussel shells of which there were masses.

A good beach by any standard

South beach at low tide is a joy....miles of level, clean sand with an occasional batch of seaweed full of interesting stuff. The facilities are great, nice huts, toilets and an excellent lido for kids. Best of all it's unspoilt by so called 'amusement' arcades, although, sadly, you can here the booming music and inane bingo calling emanating from the arcades. Pity the fools on the local council don't get a grip of the arcade mafia and spruce the area up.

Similarly, they need to stop the town centre turning into a wasteland of charity shops, fast food outlets and tat. You only need travel 40 miles up the coast to see how it should be done....church street, whitby.

Foreshore staff are lazy and useless. Horses can regularly be seen galloping down the beach, even though they’re not allowed to gallop at any time and are not supposed to go past the orange monstrosity, optimistically called ‘public sculpture’, aka a pile of mild steel. Even when the horses pass the foreshore office, they can’t be bothered to go out and speak to them

Great beach

This is probably my favourite beach I've ever visited in the UK. It's clean and sandy and with nice cafes along the promenade. It's on the south side of the harbor area and while there is parking on the road nearby it's limited especially on busy summer days.

Beautiful Beach

What a beautiful beach!

All sand with very few stones, the sea was accessible without being ontop of you and the sand was great for the kids to play on and build sandcastles with.

A local shop and cafe are adjacent with public toilets and a couple of outside showers for rinsing off the kids before getting back into the car.

At £5.50 all day the local P&R car park was fairly reasonable too. Also a good place to get into Bridlington on the Park & Ride.

Worth a visit

Stunning beach both time we came on a rainy day however it does brighten up. The sea if full of shells and crabs shell. Train ride south and north plus fun fair in between. There is plenty of restaurants, takeaway and cafe around the harbour. You can walk along the beach or you can walk on the path. Worth a visit even I first wasn't impress but was surprised to see small shop to funfair for everyone.

The beach is beautiful. Tts boardwalk fabulous. Took the noddy train back from the spa to car park
