Arrived around 9pm and went to the bar to order a drink; my friends were there waiting for 10 minutes prior to my arrival and 25 minutes of me waiting to be served by ONE OF THE 4 BAR STAFF STANDING AROUND DOING NOTHING I gave up. My friend pointed out we'd been waiting over 20 minutes to he served and they didn't care at all. To top it off, as we were all stood waiting to be served one of the bar staff turns to another and says "do you need me to do anything" before immediately wandering off. Awful service and awful bartenders. None of us shall be revisiting. Plenty more better pubs with actual competent staff in Helston!

This my first ever review. Avoid avoid avoid!!! It is shocking !! Advertised on a board outside as having a large garden. It has a dog shitte covered, unkempt, bonfire strewn patch of weed infested "area" I have never had the misfortune of going in. It's unsafe, disgusting and downright the most unpleasant "garden" ever. A blot on Helstons shopping Streets. The staff are untrained, unhelpful and mostly impersonable. I got a pocket full of change when they quite clearly had extra five notes in the safe and they changed it when I commented. Staff canoodling with " customers" possibly partners but again made the visit more uncomfortable. Please , please, please walk past.

Local pub, very nicely laid out. The bar staff are friendly and the owner is a lovely person. They have lots of different drinks and event nights. The food is also quite nice :) it is always very lively on a Saturday night!

to be honest this is a really nice pub and the staff are warm and welcoming i know its got faults but all pub has them defo will be back for a night out

This place thinks it complete with Helston- you have got to be joking. The employers are unfriendly. Unfair and they think they can own Helston. So wrong!!!!!! Two double rums for over £10 well your screwed! Number 1 in Helston for trip advisor and this place is beyond wrong. Sort yourself out! Your gonna have no custom! Good luck

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and relaxed. The staff are extremely attentive and made me and my large family feel very welcome. Prices are reasonable, we are looking forward to returning next time we're in the area.

We visited a lot of pubs on our Helston pub crawl.
This was the worst.
The good bit was the beer. Caledonian Breweries and nice.
The bad bit was the surroundings. A busy, noisy pub full of youngsters with bottles of alco-pops. I could imagine later in the evening it becomes weary. A kindergarten full of alcohol & testosterone.
The floor was sticky all over and it was early in the evening.
The whole place looked liked it needed a good clean.
We drank up quick and moved on.

£2.60 for a pint of soda water and lime!!! Still in shock, a pint of cider is only £1 more. Have been a regular for years and spent a lot of money in there, you would think water would be cheap but not here!!!

Stayed here recently.Loved it,,,Great staff,very,very friendly,Food was Excellent,as was the service,
Very easy parking at the back of the Hotel,or in the road,
The location is very handy for driving around Cornwall,
The room that I stayed in was at the front,overlooking the main road,/Street,,and I never had a noise problem,
I would stay here again,,,No Problem,,,,
The locals who frequent the Bar,,,just really nice people,,,also very,very Friendly,,,,
Try this Hotel,,,you will not regret staying here,,,
Very easy parking at the back of the Hotel,or in the road,
The location is very handy for driving around Cornwall,
