Went here at half term.Only £2,an absolute bargain for an adult to enter and children are free and it is packed with information and displays.There is even an upstairs.There was a witch’s hat trail for Halloween for the youngsters but there is usually a teddy or pirate trail at other times. Well worth the money and there is an electric stair lift for anyone who struggles with the stairs,so accessible for all.Would definitely visit again.Run by some wonderful volunteers.

With rising costs there is now a small charge to enter of two pounds per adult - however in the context of other attractions charges and general resort Car Parking costs it is well worth it.
The museum is quaint, homely, filled with intersting artefacts, and well worth the very modest admission charge.

Do not miss this information-packed museum if you are in Mevagissey. Loads of treasures about the history of this delightful village—all tastefully and carefully displayed. This is the sort of place that you can return to often and notice things you may have missed on previous visits. I know I’ll be back!

Really glad we discovered this hidden gem in Mevagissey. We stumbled across it when walking around the harbour. For a nominal fee of £2 per adult (the kids were free) we were cast back in time through the history of this fascinating fishing village. Whilst small and intimate we spent a good 90mins in here and could have stayed longer. Two search and find games kept the kids occupied whilst the adults could happily peruse. Would recommend to all visitors who would appreciate getting to know more about the place they are visiting.

A little gem on the Quay, we missed out on our last visit due to covid and it being closed. But this year was open and well worth a visit. Lots of local history and artefacts and very helpful staff

Just visited the Museum, what an amazing place full of interesting artifacts and curios. You could spend ages here, escaping from the heat or rain, and learning about the history of Meva, the people and more. Well worth the £2 entry fee

Small but fascinating museum of local history. Small charge of £2 per adult (at time of writing) but well worth it for the interesting rummage through 3 floors of Mevagissey's history.

The museum does not charge an entrance fee, but I purchased two books which were interesting, to make a contribution.
It is so well put together, that it is a treasure trove of different aspects of Mevagissey life.
It really is a lovely place to see, and is right near the harbour, so not hard to find or get to.
All staffed by volunteers.

People can access the bottom floor in a wheelchair. Unfortunatly access to the second floor is by a stair lift and the third floor is stairs only.

Hi Dawn, Unfortunately we do not take dogs other than guide dogs at present. However there is a bench outside where if you are in a larger group one person can wait with the dog. Entry is free to museum and we review are plocies on a reguarly basis.
