Parking for a couple of csrs in thd layby this is cluse to Golitha Falls.
I love ancient history so found these remains of crosses very interesting.
Lovely carving to both stones.
To those who gave bad reviews... I'm not sure what you expected... this sort of thing isn't for everyone, so unsure why you would visit if it's not your cup of tea ...

Not really much to see at King Doniert's stone.
We looked for it (following a good long walk to see The Cheesewring) & found it. Sat on side of road to take a look. Couldn't be bothered to get out of car again.

The stones here are meant to be linked to the first king of Cornwall who sadly drowned in the area. They are worth a stop while walking in the area as they are easy to see and not up a big hill or far from the path. They are beautifully carved with Celtic designs. It’s a ten minute stop.

Not much here really, My apologies I'm new to Cornwall so need to get up to speed with the history but for me on this occasion it was a layby at the side of the road with a stone and inscription. As with most of Cornwall though the views across the valleys were to die for.

It's an ancient site but not impressive at all. You can take a few pictures and continue to the waterfalls

Not well signposted from St Cleer vilage but better signing from Golitha falls. The stone is in an enclosure with a lay-by next to a minor road. As a history fan and an EH member wanted to see the monuments in and around St Cleer. It's true that there's not a lot here but it is worth making the effort.

Driving up onto the top of Bodmin Moor, stopped off to visit King Doniert's Stone, broken stone cross.
Not much to see, except the stunning moorland views.
Free to visit with free parking in the layby.
Nice quick stopoff with the kids.

We stopped for a few minutes as it was raining heavily. On a sunny day you can park in the lay-by along side. You will probably only want to stop for a short time , take a picture and move on, but it's well worth seeing this historical place. A good memory to add to your holiday in Cornwall.

All I can say is I am flabbergasted this has so many four or five ratings. I think some people need to get out more.
Five rating? Surely that would be for Avebury, Stonehenge or the Cheesewring.
Quite underwhelming. No atmosphere, nothing. Unintelligible writing. I would get more excited over a prawn sandwich.
