Fantastic surfing lesson

Great surf coaches who ensure you are having fun and help each surfer achieve their goals. Highly recommend this for first time surfers and solo travellers.

Fun lessons

Good entry into the surf world, in a small group of 12 people. Surf instructor very nice and competent.
The fact that you had to wear wet, sandy, just worn shirts was less hygienic. You should also take a headgear and water at 8 a.m. The dry exercises and warm-up last more than 30 minutes without shade! Unfortunately, I had a sunstroke afterwards and had to deal with nausea and headaches.
Surfing was great fun though!

Thanks for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the surfing experience. The rashvest are always washed thoroughly, but unfortunately, due to the rain, they were just a little wet and hadn't had a chance to dry. Australia is known for its sunny weather, and we always provide 50+ sunscreen. We recommend everyone stay hydrated and if you're sensitive to the sun bring a hat. We appreciate your input and hope you're feeling better now. Looking forward to having you back for more fun in the surf! 🌞🏄‍♂️

Brilliant surf lesson

Brilliant lesson, group of 10 people worked really well under the expert guidance of the two instructors. Really informative safety briefing made us feel at ease as first timers!
Land practice works really well before getting in the water so we felt comfortable with the surf boards and knew what to expect. More than enough time in the sea to get a feel for surfing and catch a few waves! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to give it a try

Great surf lesson

We went for a nice morning surf lesson with John and Mark who spent lots of time explaining the best techniques for surfing and were constantly giving us tips and helping to improve. I found that even after a short time I was consistently standing up on the board. They were great guys and excellent surf teachers! 🤙🏻 🏄‍♂️

Perfect lesson for beginners

The surfing lesson was fantastic, we had Mark and John and they were both amazing showed us the ropes and gave us pointers when we needed it! To top it all off the weather was perfect.

It was okey first 1.30 h just drive around. Then almost 30 min until everyone is ready and then only 1 h in the water with 14-16 other people and only 2 surfquides who just push one and showed you on land how to get up but no feedbag no more accurate feedbags or so a shame. I imagined something else for 4 hrs surflesson.

The description states that "you will enjoy a unique blend of education, adventure, and cultural awareness of the areas we explore together." This experience is not a continuous 4-hour surf lesson, but rather a balanced combination of instruction and time spent exploring the area. While we understand your desire for more water time, it’s important to note that 4 hours of continuous surfing is unrealistic for most surfers, let alone beginners, as it requires significant stamina and practice. Our goal is to introduce beginners to the sport, with both surf instruction and ample water time. Thank you for your feedback, and for speaking with me on the phone earlier. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t fully meet your expectations, and we appreciate your insights, as they help us improve our service. We are also sorry for any confusion caused by a possible loss in translation from the experience description. Since 1995, we’ve refined our lesson times to ensure they suit all customers, optimising water time for beginners. We always aim to make our lessons enjoyable and beneficial, and we understand it can be frustrating if you feel you didn’t receive enough individual attention. Going forward, we will continue to ensure there is more focus on personalised feedback and specific instruction to enhance the experience for all participants. A must-do in Byron Bay

This was our first time surfing and we only have experience swimming in the pool. Our instructor Dan is very friendly, kind and supportive. He did a great job to calm our nerves and made us feel comfortable in the waves. We had a great moment in Byron Bay. It’d be even better if we could take a few photos :) Highly recommend as a beginner.
