whale watching Merimbula

The skipper Simon was so patient and we ended up having a fantastic cruise. A mother and calf put on a show for us. The boat was comfortable and handled the conditions beautifully. I highly recommend whale watching in Merimbula

Whales Galore

Could not have picked a better day for this amazing trip. Weather was perfect for spotting whales. Saw about 11 in total and all were very active and happy to show off their skills in the water. My niece and her boys, who have now done this a few times said this trip was better than all combined. I found the guide extremely interesting and so knowledgeable, I learnt so much.

So good we did it twice

Having rescheduled 3 times for lockdowns, we were really excited to finally go on the cruise. We were not disappointed. The organisation of the cruise was great, and always felt very safe.
The information provided on locations visited and whales in general was good and interesting. Jess, Simon and Roger, run a tight ship and provide a very enjoyable 2hr cruise from Merimbula.
It was so good we booked to do it again the next day, ( and got a discounted rate) .
This is a great opportunity to see whales 🐋 in their local environment and supporting local businesses. Well done Sapphire Coastal Adventures

The boat, the crew, the sights, scenery and of course the WHALES were all phenomenal. Highly recommend. The knowledge of the crew was great.

If you only go on one tour this year do this one . Absolutely amazing so so so worth it . All The crew were very professional and friendly and not to forget Rosie the whale spotting dog

Great service and experience. The team advised us on best day to travel with our toddlers. Got up and close to the whales and was able to watch them for a significant amount of time. Great to see coast from the boat as well.

Whale Watch Trip

This was a brilliant trip.
The crew are excellent and caring, even stopping the boat briefly to enable my elderly wife to move to a more sheltered part of the boat.
We were put up close to some very active whales and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Would recommend it to everyone

Whales for all to see

This was the 3rd year visiting Merimbula to see the whales. It was majestic to see these whales up so close we were even mugged (where the whales hang around and have a look) which was unbelievable. The crew were always attentive such a nice place to be. Seas were calm this time but the more waves the better the calves jump around like school kids when its choppy. Captain very imformative I had never thought that the worlds supply of Krill is being sucked up at an unsustainable rate for something that is the current fad most going to animal feed. Get off those Krill Oil tablets.

best part of our holiday

During our week holiday in Merimbula we did this not once but twice! Absolutely the best part of our trip. The staff are very friendly and do their best to get you close to whales. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed! They even take photos for you and email them to you.

Whale of a time

This is a great experience. The skipper is very knowledgeable about whales and gets you as close as possible. All staff are very friendly and go out of the way to help. We enjoyed the first trip so much that we went back a second time a couple of days later.
