Can anyone advise? I emailed and requested information re tours etc - did not receive any reply. Headed down on Sunday, looking forward to a coffee etc in the Garden Cafe and a browse through the nursery... .initially when we drove past there was a car out front. It was early so we went to Chillingham first then headed back. No car, gates locked -no signage. I note the date of the last review was 2016 - so maybe they are no longer in business? website is still active - very odd.

We took our teenage sons here much to their chagrin- moans and groans when we arrived. When we finally got onto the "train" they were at least giggling a little, but by the time we finished the train ride through the park they were mesmerized and very quiet. What a transformation! Of course as soon as we got in our car to leave they were their cheeky selves again.

We went on a coach trip and were welcomed into the establishment by staff, with humour and warmth. Simple but very nice 2 course lunch. Short and level walk to see the miniature horses and donkeys. Obviously well cared for and understood by owners, so that it was a delight to share their personalities and antics (not the owners, the animals). It was fun to feed the turtles and lizards, If you love animals that you can see are enjoying their lives and are under no duress, then this is for you!

A delightful experience in a beautiful landscape, maybe a little overpriced for a large family but the animals are gorgeous.

Called up to book just to be told call back I'm busy!! Asked for a refund to be told I don't think so!! Then hangs up.

I bought a Living Social voucher thinking my kids would love it here. I tried calling multiples times but the phone wouldn't even ring, just made a strange tone. Finally got through one morning and was trying to make a booking but got told they were busy and could I ring back in half an hour. Needless to say I tried ringing back in half and hour and got the same strange tone. Sent them an email straight away to the address they say to use to make bookings and almost a week later haven't had a response. I got a refund from Living Social for my voucher as I simply cannot get in touch with them to make a booking. Very disappointed as I'm sure my kids would have loved it. I wonder how much other business they are losing from people who want to visit but can't make a booking.

We travelled by coach from Queensland. The cost each for admission, lunch with dessert and coffee was $30 each as a group. The lunch was all fresh produce very palatable. We enjoyed the tour and the information about the miniature animals also we were able to pat the animals. You will need a hat. We found the staff welcoming and very pleasant. There is an interesting array of plants if you wish to purchase. I would definitely recommend this especially for families.

Three friends and I stopped at the inviting nursery and coffee shop for a browse, coffee and toilet stop.
We wandered into the yummy smell of freshly baked scones. I asked the price to which the shop lady replied "with a drink?" I said no, just the scone...
She looked at me, paused and said "FIVE dollars!"
I thought to myself "your dreaming!!"
My friend purchased a five dollar un-drinkable coffee whilst we gazed at the beautiful plants and succulents. We decided that we'd stop there on the way back to buy some for our home UNTIL....
I walked into the shop looking for a toilet, the lady at the counter said "can I help you?" I said I just wanted to use the toilet.
She replied with "toilets are for customers only, we don't allow non patrons to use our facilities".
I said, "oh my friend just bought a coffee off you". She shrugged and said nothing.
SHOCKED, I walked away and said to my friends that we WERE NOT GOING TO STOP ON THE WAY BACK to by anything!!!!
I work in Hospitality in busy Byron Bay, and when a Gals gotta go a gals gotta go!!!!
I think the grumpiness of the miniature animals has worn off onto their sour owners!!
We drove a few K's down the road to "BUCKS BARN" enjoyed some AMAZING and AFFORDABLE home made pies, the "dunny" and beautiful friendly service.

Had hoped for more took 5 grandkids .They were more excited with feeding the fish eels and turtles.Yes there were some lovely small horses and cattle but that was it there were donkeys.All in all long trip from Brisbane but we had the kids for the day.Toilets should have been cleaned before visitors arrive. We were the first and they were dirty.

My mother bought a Cudo voucher for 2 adults and 2 kids and was wanting to use it when her NZ grandkids arrived for a week's holiday in October. She was going to also take my two kids, paying extra money for them. She rang to book and was told she couldn't come on a Saturday when she wanted and needed to come on a Friday. So she replied "sure, I will come on the Friday", to which the lady on the end of the phone told her "no you can't, we want to keep that day free for the tour group booked that day". My mother assured her there were only 6 of their group and didn't mind tagging behind a tour group. She was told she couldn't.
So as the entire weekend was unavailable for her NZ grandkids, she asked me to call and book on a day that suited us as she said it seemed they were being difficult as she had a voucher. I rang and kept ringing only to discover there were certain days you could ring and book, no answer machine. I waited till the correct day and was told the Friday I chose should be fine, the lady on the end of the phone was taking bookings for the owners as they were unavailable. She took my phone number and told me she would call back if that day was a problem. No phone call back in the two/three weeks.
So come today, having taken the day off school and work as my mother had previously been told they wouldn't do Saturdays, we were so excited and arrived after 1 1/4 hours drive from the Gold Coast following the speed limit. The owner greeted us and when we said we were here for the tour she said, "there's no tours today I didn't have a booking from you." I told her how I had booked, she came up with every excuse: "we don't do tours on Fridays" (I replied, it says you do on your website and my voucher); "you musn't have booked in the right time frame as you have three months to book",
"Yes I did, here's the voucher date".
"It also says on the website it's subject to availability."
"But I booked!!"
"Well I wasn't told you had booked"
"That's not my problem"
"I was in hospital and a friend took the booking"
"I'm sorry to hear that, could you please get your husband just to show us where to walk, we just want to see them, we don't need a tour", no answer, though he was wandering around in the background.
"Come tomorrow, we have people coming then on vouchers."
"We can't come tomorrow, we will get our money back"
"You won't be able to do that."
"Have a look on trip advisor at all the negative comments about being cancelled, this will be another."
"There was only three of those." (Three!! One is too much!!).
We walked out to the car with two very upset children. She came out after a minute to say "It shouldn't have taken you that long to get here!"; I was not impressed by this stage and told her that was not helpful, she loudly told me as she walked off she had been trying to help by letting me know a quicker way to get home to which I loudly told her "No you weren't trying to help". The kids were then given a lesson on how to be immature as she yelled back "whatever you dumb people".
Now please tell me, does this lady know how to run a business?
