A great experience to view the yet to be completed Temple! Awesome! Gracious members who explained in detail the carved Marble figures on the columns and altars. In addition a video is shown as an addition to a tour. Not to be missed!

Top Attraction of NJ. Must visit. We learned so much about the temple, its history, how it relates to Hinduism, the meaning of each sculpture in the temple, how it is designed, the meaning of Mandir and Akshardham etc

A nice buliding on sprawling ground on Woodburne road is the house for the God Narayan, who is the protector of the Hindu trinity. His idol is in the center with his consort Lakshmi (wealth) and photos of the swaminarayan gurus running this sect. They are also flanked by idols of Shiv & Parvati, Krishna & Radha on one side and Idols of Rama, Sita with Hanuman in the forefront on the otherside. I was thrilled with my grand daughter on the 1st April being the day of Ramanavami (9th lunar day on the bright half of the month Chaitra as per lunar caleder), my grandson at 3months visiting a temple with his parents/ grand parents.I got lot of satisfaction upon the visit since i am from India.
I noticed the idol of Lakshman is absent with Rama, Sita & Hanuman.
The place had mostly Gujaraties from India.It is well mainained and nice to see in a country far off from India. They were readying for the Bhajan programme, but we had to return home in Langhorne, due to our exigencies.
