The Baldwin Home is the oldest house on the island of Maui. Baldwin Home was originally a four-room, single house. When the original owner, Rev Spaulding became ill, the Rev Dwight Baldwin, a medical missionary, moved his family from a grass hut into the home. As the family grew, so did the home become larger with the addition of a second floor. Adjacent to the home is the Master’s Reading Room which was originally a store room for the missionaries but later was converted into and officers club for sailors and their families. There is an admission fee to go inside but free to walk the grounds.

I've been here to go through the historical house multiple times. In different seasons as well. It's beautifully landscaped. Inside, I loved the Trees of Christmas. They're all different in each room.
I also loved hearing about the history of the house from the earliest years and who lived in it.
It's sad to see so much of it closed off because of funding. I remember when they baked in the basement long ago. It's now a craft store. I'm disappointed in that part.
Over all, it's a perfect setting and place to check out in Meadville.
The landscaping also makes great backdrops for wedding pictures.

We visited the Baldwin Reynolds House in our last month in Meadville. The older design and wood work was amazing to see. Always nice to see a glimpse into history. Well taken care of and we loved the Christmas Tree displays. Very nice gift shop in the basement.

We as a family when at Christmas time it was wonderful. The rooms were all decorated so beautify. Can't Waite to go another year. May become family tradition.

My children and I had just completed "the adventures of Tom Sawyer". A forgotten item the week before caused us to make a return visit to Meadville and boy we're we glad we did. The period items that decorate the house allowed my children to imagine the daily activities, chores and entertainment of the by gone era. The guide/ curator , Sheryl, was super fun, helpful, informative and kind. The added bonus of the doctor's office and Billy real skeleton made the visit even more educational and "science-y".

It is just a very nice quaint Museum to enjoy when you visit the area. Very inexpensive and very much worth it! You will not be disappointed! Adults cost is $5 and children 6-18 are $3 and 6 and under are free! I Love budget friendly with friendly staff made it a win/win situation!

If you are interested in the local history and the beautiful architecture of old mansions, this is a wonderful museum to visit. It is well maintained and contains a lot of local area historical artifacts. Especially great to see is the "trees of Christmas" display that the area Garden Club puts on every other year (the even years) where you can enjoy the true beauty and spirit of living in the 19th century.

This is a beautiful historic building in the Meadville, PA area. The property is very well maintained and provides some interesting background on the area.

This museum has an excellent Christmas display with every room decorated with a different Christmas tree display and theme. Beautiful original rooms and excellent tour of the mansion. Excellent tour guides explaining every room and places in detail.

Toured this free attraction in Meadville. A very antebellum home in the North! Period furniture and lovely grounds make this is great place to visit, Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable of the family history
