This beach has to be one of the nicest, unspoilt beaches in Ireland. Absolutely breathtaking. A must visit if you are in the area.

Posto veramente incantevole. Una spiaggia immensa dove fare lunghe passeggiate. Ci si arriva facilmente e si può parcheggiare direttamente in spiaggia.

My husband, two toddlers and I enjoyed a walk and toe-dip at this lovely sandy beach. It is very popular with surfers, dogwalkers and birds. The dunes look like they are gradually being eroded. There are toilets, plenty of parking (in the winter anyway!), picnic tables and uninterrupted vistas of Clew Bay. My family preferred this beach to Bertra strand and old head beach. We would return.

Certainly an extensive stretch of sand . A little out of the way from main routes but commands the eye when there. Above average beach area but no facilities of any sort just wild undeveloped seascapes

A little piece of heaven, just outside Louisbough. Another blue flag beach!Spotless, extensive area of beautiful sand and water. Ideal for long walks, peaceful swimming. So clean! Lovely little cart selling minerals, crisps etc. Lovely friendly owner!

A beautiful beach with very little people/ distractions. The perfect place to switch off and go for a long walk. All with the crashing of the Atlantic waves in the background. Not many people know about this beach, but it is known by locals.
