I gave a five star review for the nationality rooms which are in this building so decided to this too, hoping to lead anyone away from the reality that one is in the other. The grand study hall is a delight and I could live there. But there was very little else on what one could do there other than take a tour of the international rooms. Signage for visitors was not easy to find. So, five stars for what it is rather than for how it presents itself.

Located in the heart of Oakland, the structure is stunning, both inside and out. We scheduled a tour of the Nationality Rooms - a must do! Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to let the tour know if there is a specific room you would like see while on your tour. Definitely plan to spend about 2 hours here.

We took our family here, couldn’t see many of the rooms. Took the elevator up to the 36th floor, which you can do on the weekends. The view is nice but overall the experience does not feel worth the hassle of parking.

Visited here the day that they had a culture fair. We went to many rooms of the building where the different countries had exhibits. The rooms were beautiful. The Hungarian room had beautiful stained glass windows. The building is huge. the different countries had items for sale in the corridors. Prices were reasonable. We visited late in the afternoon so didnt get to see the entire building but were extremely impressed with what all it offered. Students go there and study as well.
Hope to go back in 2023. Would highly recommend seeing this beautiful building which is a Pittsburgh landmark.

The Cathedral of Learning is one of the most iconic buildings in all of Pittsburgh. It's a 42-stories high, gothic revival beautiful building. it's in the same university vicinity and the Carnegie Museum of Art and History is just nearby. it is 535 feet tall and listed as the world's second-tallest university building.
it also has a food court where visitors can grab a bite while exploring the impressive building's interior. We did not get much time to explore all but a few areas- though look stunning from the outside.

The cathedral is magnificent. It is on the UP campus across from Heinz Chapel. The only challenge is finding a place to park. You will need to find a spot with a meter.

Excellent place to learn history of PITT and see the city from the top. Take the elevator to the top and then stairs. I do this with all my visiting guests.

What a stunning building! My daughter has classes here, so she gave me an unofficial tour of the interior. It reminded me of Hogwarts! So lovely. I only saw one of the international rooms and would love to tour those some day. What a special building.

Currently the Cathedral is only open to students and not guests and visitors. I still have it 4 stars because it’s a really cool old building and is home to the Nationality rooms.
