Nice little float on the Delaware river. Guide narrated local history. Advertised as 30 minutes but we got 45 which was a bonus. River is slow moving and calm for a relaxing float.

I love the Delaware water gap. I just thought this particular tubing/raft service was awful. When we got to the meeting point at the Shawnee Inn, we were driven to the spot we were going to start to float. The tube attendant boys who looked about 16 put our tubes in the river BEFORE WE EVEN GOT OUT OF THE VAN!!!!!! the best part was... the boys said “well do you want to go swim after it?” UH NO???? We had our cell phones and didn’t have water shoes on so to think these boys wanted us to swim far away to chase the tube was baffling. I demanded new tubes. They ended up picking us up new tubes and then had the audacity to then say, “well if you end up seeing the other tubes please bring them back” HAHA! Huh? We’re supposed to hold a tube while sitting on our new ones? Just an odd request for a customer who’s supposed to be relaxing and floating. Finally we end up getting back to the meeting point and what do ya know?! Our belongings are no where to be found. Apparently they were in the same van that dropped us off. The boys were supposed to give the front desk girls our bags. They didn’t. We waited an hour. We were so hot, thirsty, and tired. The ladies at the front desk were SOOOOO NICE! One of them was named Devon I believe. I forget the other girls name but she was awesome. Gave us water and apologized up and down. Will be going back to tube but not with Shawnee.

Had an awesome time with good friends on the river! Equipment in great shape. Staff helpful and courteous. We’ll be back again. This place’s staff was also very helpful and accommodating on the phone. A MUST DO to see The Delaware River!

The river was great, but there are many other companies that rent boats on the exact same section of the river. I suggest you go with one of those. When we came in they acted annoyed that we were there and were very unfriendly. The instructions they gave were haphazard and they expected us to bring our phones and gave no water protection for them. We had to ask questions to understand what was going on and they were annoyed that we did so. Oftentimes when we did ask questions they just said they didn't know. They also lost our car keys (that they said they could hold for us) and we had to wait 5 minutes while they searched for them. Only decent costumer service was from the drivers that took us to and from the river. Their rude service ruined the serenity of the river. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

We had the pontoon boat all to ourselves. It was a fun trip with stories from the captain and then a narrated history of the Delaware and the Shawnee Indians. My son even got to sit in the captains chair.

The river trip was very relaxing, for what was supposed to be a 3 hour, 3 mile trip, actually only lasted for 1.5 hours. We hardly had to even paddle, the current took us right along. There are also longer trips that you can do.

I go out on the river through Shawnee numerous times each year. Each season offers a different experience. It is a relaxing paddle and I always bring a lunch to picnic on one of the islands. In the summer during the full moon they have a special event where you can paddle under the stars. They are the only river trip company in this area that has direct river access which makes going out through them a convenient experience.

Thank you for your kind words. Our location to the river is one of our most fortunate assets. I agree, time on the river is relaxing and scenery is beautiful. Shawnee River Trips also has a canoe and brew on Friday evenings and evening paddle on Saturdays. Thank you for accessing the Delaware River with Shawnee River Trips. We hope to see you again soon.

I did the 2 hour tour on the boat with my teens, it was a great experience. The wild life is abundant, we even spotted a small snake. The people from the tour explained us that we coul stay on the river for 2, 3 or 4 hours for the same price! They dropped us in a spot and especified the place we needed to get off according to the amount of time that we chose to stay in the raft. We did as we were told, there was two bridges, we needed to get of after the second one, there was a house with a particular fence then we needed to walk up the trail, and we would see a public phone we could use to call them. We did and they were there to pick us up in about 10 minutes. The town is old and beautiful, we saw the firefighters headquarters and we felt like in an old movie. It was quite a nice trip!. It's a must do if you visit the gap during the summer.

This is a nice way to experience the Delaware River on a relaxing narrated trip on a pontoon boat. The boat held 6 people plus the Guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable & a retired Coast Guard Captain. We enjoyed his stories and the relaxed way the trip was conducted. There were many photographic opportunities along the river & the trip is just the right length.

A must do when staying at the Shawnee Inn as this was the highlight of our stay! Friendly staff, beautiful weather and scenery. I definitely recommend taking the 6 mile ride - it was the perfect amount of time on the water.

Thank you for your review. We are very fortunate to have direct river access. The six-mile trip in a canoe or kayak is a great trip. We hope to see you again at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

Is the three mile canoe trip manageable for beginners? Daughter has only done it once briefly, & I haven’t canoed in over twenty years since I was a kid. Tried to call them a few times, but always voicemail and no return call.
