Federal law restricts the sailing yacht Fate to 6 paying passengers, our motoryacht Kismet is a coast guard inspected vessel and can legally hold up to 24 guests on charter. Although Kismet can hold 24 she is perfect for small groups of 7 to 9 passengers as well. The passenger capacity is set by the coast guard and even if we take a crew member off we cannot have more than the law allows as a crew member is not a paying passenger.

Hi there, the forecast in charleston seems to always be at least 30% chance of rain. Because of our hot climate we often get pop up rain showers throughout the day. This does not mean it will rain like Seattle all day, this simply means 30% of the tri county area may possibly see some sort of percipitation. We do not cancel charters based on forecasts as they are hardly ever right. We always show up like normal and get ready. Even if is raining an hour before a charter, it doesn't mean it will rain on your charter. If it does happen to rain during your sail, we do have a bimini top and an entire boat downstairs as large as a house for shelter. Like all the private charter sailboats in Charleston, we are limited by federal law to 6 passengers, we cannot take 7. Other then that we would be perfect for your party of 6. We love having children of all ages out for a sail, the kids love interacting, steering and helping with the sails. We also see dolphins on every trip so its fun to be the first to spot them. Our 3 hour day sails are $499 year round, the sunset sails in the off season are $499. In our busy season from April through October the sunset sails Mon-Thursday are $525 and Fri-Sun $599.
