5 days of biking on 4 different Georgia coastal islands. Easy biking, beautiful scenery, delicious Southern food, small groups, incredible tour guides (Alex and Karen, owners of Charleston Bicycle Tours). Plenty of time to relax after biking. Would highly recommend this trip for a terrific vacation!

Asheville 5 day tour was the 4 th tour with Alex and Karen ; the fine tour guides. At this point we consider them to be great friends in addition to conducting great bike tours. We enjoy the 20-30 mile rides , the great accommodations many of which are very historic, the fine restaurants, and the knowledge and friendliness of the tour guides . The other individuals (mostly couples) have always been pleasant and enjoyable, and we have formed friendships also. I am 65 years old and fairly good physical condition and find all the daily rides to be excellent exercise experiences. We anticipate doing any additional tours in the future.

The Charleston, Beaufort, Savannah excursion conducted by Charleston Bicycle Tours was my first such experience, and after six days of enjoying the simple pleasure of bicycling while taking in the history, culture, traditions and geography of the Low Country, I have to say I'm hooked. The tour was well paced day by day. The accommodations were comfortable - even luxurious - and the food was exceptional; the restaurants included some of the most noteworthy in the region. Alex and Karen were superb hosts - friendly, hospitable and down right fun. They equipped us well and encouraged us to hone our cycling skills. The tour arrangements were accommodating to singles as well as couples, which reflected the mix of our group. I learned to love a new biking hobby, shared memorable times and meals with good people, experienced a part of the country I had never been to - all from the seat of a bicycle. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

Of all the bicycle tours I have been on including tours in and outside the country this tour was the best! Charleston, Savanah and the countryside all around the area are spectacular. The restaurants and hotels were first class. The food was so good! Alex and Karen are gracious hosts and so enjoyable to be around. I will definitely return to the South for another trip with Charleston bicycle tours.

Great 6 day trip through the Low Country of Charleston, Beaufort and Savannah. The rides were beautiful and very scenic. The food and accommodations were spectacular. But what makes this tour “the best of the best” were the hosts Karen and Alex. Both are so knowledgeable about the history and very kind. This is an adventure that you don’t want to miss- you won’t be disappointed!!!

Very knowledgeable guides with a well organized trip. Nice balance of bicycling to see the local sights and great restaurants to keep any serious foodie happy. If you truly want to experience the Southeast these are the trips to take. We are planning our next tour with Alex & Karen.

Lowcountry charm didn't hold much meaning to me until I biked with Karen and Alex on their tour through Edisto. Being from Chicago, this felt like a trip back in time, the moss covered trees, well paved roads with little traffic and food that was amazing. Generosity is at the heart of this business and you'll be glad you booked with them.

Went on another fantastic tour with Charleston bike tour with Alex and Karen. This was my favorite tour of theirs and I have been on three so far. The scenery was gorgeous and the bike rides epic with rolling hills, farmland and along rivers, cute small towns. If you have not been biking, it's still a great ride with support van if you can't make it up moderate hill roads. Charleston bike tours does not disappoint with their accommodations, bed and breakfast and the Biltmore hotel and delicious food. You might not ride off all your calories, but the scenery was so beautiful. So much planning goes into their trips and Alex and Karen are wonderful trip leaders. I highly recommend any of their trips, but Asheville scenery is so beautiful!!!

We are fortunate that you and Steve have joined us on three tours.Its always a pleasure to see beautiful places on two wheels and afterwards partake in delicious meals with great people.After riding through the environs of Charleston and next the Florida Keys, choosing Asheville and the surrounding Mountain Valleys as your favorite says a lot! Thank you for being part of the group on Charleston Bicycle Tours maiden voyage in North Carolina. Excited to be offering it again in 2020,once in June and again in September.

We loved our Charleston bicycle tour. Our hosts, Alex and Karen were affable, gracious, knowledgeable about every inch of Charleston and Savannah, and mindful of all riders’ abilities. Stayed at beautiful accommodations and ate delicious meals. We are looking forward to our next tour with them!

Hi Dori, Yes we do! Charleston Bicycle Tours provides a 4 night/ three day tour of Charleston or a two day/two night tour of Savannah or a five day/ six night tour which includes both cities. Additionally, private/ custom tours for six to ten are available for more days in Savannah or Charleston .

What is the price of the tour per person/couple? My husband and I are coming to Charleston in late fall to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We may only have time for one day tour 2-3 hours on a Thursday or Friday or possibly Sunday afternoon as we are coming for a conference.

Our one day tours last approximately 8 hours and includes a gourmet lunch and tour of a plantation along with approximately 20-30 miles of cycling. You may book a one day tour 30 dyas prior if available.The prices per person are on our website at charlestonbicycletours.. .

Hi, We do have tours on those days but are aleady committed to a private tour.The Ravenel bridge is a very popular.Our rides often invovle shuttling by van to a less traveled areas.All of Charleston's and Mt Pleasant's bicycle shops rent bikes. Enjoy your visit!

No we do not but in the past we have rented or bought bikes for our participants as needed such as tandem and recumbents.With the increased popularity of the adult tricycles we would consider purchasing one since there are no rentals in our market.
